On his way to Belgium
Rafa, his many heavy bags, and purple undies are on their way to Belgium for round one of the Davis Cup. I can’t get the video on the iB3 site to load, but we have some help for that…

Mestre Toni excerpt [Updated]
The iB3 have posted a six minute excerpt from the Mestre Toni documentary. Check it out – looks like it’s a very nice documentary.
And, while on the topic of Toni, here’s a Q&A with him. (Google mangle)
Update – and here’s another excerpt where we see that Rafa’s just as grumpy, bossy and competitive at golf as he is at everything else (at least, that’s what it sounds like…I have no idea what Rafa’s going on about).
Back to practice
Guess who was practicing today?

And from the iB3:

It took a racket since the Australian Open which ended injured against David Ferrer. On Wednesday, in Manacor, was the first training Rafael Nadal after that broken fibers of the left leg hamstring.

Back home
Did he take a shower on the plane? His hair is wet. He mentions Davis Cup in the airport interview…wonder if it’s a “we’ll have to see” answer. Google mangling indicates it’s a wait and see.
AO: Interview with Toni
Short interview with Toni in what appears to be an airport. Guess he’s on his way to Melbourne.

All good things end and Rafael Nadal have already completed your holiday. Although knowing the number 1 in the world sure is already looking forward to competing again. The Spaniard will bounce on the slopes soon, this Friday, New Year, the exhibition tournament in Abu Dhabi. How Deims, Rafel is keen to start the new season but clearly would like to finish and start the new year close to his, it is clear that the timetable does not forgive.

Rafa’s 2010 [Updated]
Vamosrafelnadal has posted the iB3 special on Rafa’s 2010 that aired on December 26th to YouTube.
Too bad the sound and video are out of synch. Although, I suppose it shouldn’t matter since I can’t understand anything!
Nadal after Nadal
The past two years (I think), the iB3 aired a Rafa special on Christmas eve. This year, they are going for the day after. Mangle:
Sunday 26 at 21:25 pm, IB3 TV offering Rafael Nadal becomes number 1, a fantastic tribute to Rafael Nadal, making a review of 2010, the most successful of his career.
The beginning was difficult in Australia, but dragged the injury of 2009, but with the arrival of the gravel everything changed. Monte Carlo, Rome, Madrid, Roland Garros, and again, the world number 1. But this has
Manacor favs Rafa
Video from today’s ceremony whereby Rafa was named a favorite son of Manacor. First up, a video from rtve via Inés:
Will someone please get and force that man to use a blow-dryer? The shots of him outside? Stripes of hair and scalp…not a good look.
Unfortunately, embedded blip.tv videos (used by the iB3) have suddenly started auto-playing on page load. I can’t stand that. So, I’ll be linking to them from now on.
