Rome: The draw

While Rafa was busy prepping for today’s Madrid semifinal, the draw for the Rome tournament was completed. Here’s a pdf of the draw sheet. Rafa is in Djokovic’s half and Ferrer’s quarter. Additional seeds in Rafa’s quarter are Raonic and Tipsarevic. Additional seeds in his half are Wawrinka, Cilic and Berdych. Seeds in the other half are Murray, Federer, Del Potro, Almagro, Nishikori, Tsonga, Gasquet, and Haas.

Madrid: The draw

The draw for the Madrid Open was performed today. Here’s the pdf on the tournament site. Seeds in Rafa’s quarter are Almagro, Haas, and Ferrer. Seeds in his half are Gasquet, Cilic, Nishikori and Federer. Seeds in the top quarter are Djokovic, Wawrinka, Raonic, and Tsonga. Seeds in the 2nd quarter are Murray, Simon, Tipsarevic and Berdych.

Acapulco: The draw

The draw for Acapulco is done! You can view the pdf here. Rafa will begin his tournament by playing against Diego Sebastian Schwartzman, a qualifier from Argentina. Seeds in Rafa’s half are Almagro, Bellucci, and Zeballos. Seeds in the top half are Ferrer, Melzer, Wawrinka, and Paire.

Brasil Open: The draws

I totally forgot the draw for the Brazil Open was today! Man, it’s going to take some time to get used to this non-stop draw/tennis thing. I’m sure none of us will mind, though. Rafa’s playing doubles and singles in Sao Paulo. For his partner, he picked his second Argentinian in as many tournaments: David Nalbandian. Here are links to the draws:

Oh, hey! The doubles draw was today too. Who knew? They usually come later in the tournament. Anyway, the draw gods weren’t too kind to Rafa and Pico, they will play the 2nd seeds (Cermak/Dlouhy) in their first match. Here’s the draw.

Wimbledon: The draw

The draw for Wimbledon was completed this morning. You can find an html version here and a pdf one here. Can you guess where the top four ended up? Yep: Federer in Djokovic’s half and Murray’s in Rafa’s. What the heck are the odds of that happening again? If the top seeds all make it through to the quarters, we’d have Djokovic/Berdych, Federer/Tipsaravic, Ferrer/Murray and Nadal/Tsonga
