RC: Open Court’s videos
Stephanie Myles over at Open Court has a couple of Rafole videos up:

Mainly about Rafa’s picking habit
Rafa’s first up in the night session tonight. I hope my mom doesn’t mind me not taking her out for birthday dinner…
RC: Doubles Videos [Updated]
First set highlights – the Rafa facepalm cracks me up.
Set two highlights:
The last part of the doubles super tiebreak:

Failure’s No Success at All – by Steve Tignor
The article is mainly about Fed, but there’s this bit about last night’s doubles:
Later, too much later, we finally had a chance to see the No. 1 and 2 players, Nadal and Novak Djokovic, line up on the same side of the court for the first time since Ashe and Connors did it in 1976. While Rafa and Nole weren’t as odd a couple as those two must have been, they didn’t exactly gel as a team, losing to two gawky young unknowns in a super-tiebreaker. With the no-ad scoring and
RC: Rafole match blatherings
Since Sia was one of the blessed Canadians who got to actually watch the doubles match, she decided to try her hand at a “as it happened blatherings” report.
So … finally nice evening.
Everyone’s in all white. Rafole vs Pop and Milos. Rafa’s wearing a headband, no wrist bands (just a watch), and is very smiley. Nole – perky. The Canadians look like junior high schoolers but serious.
Ok already the score is 3-2 Canada leading … so

Just a few, but here they are:

And never tell a Rafole fan they can’t watch or share. They will try anything to share the giddiness that is Rafole…even recording off the TV with an iPhone:

RC: Rafole denied
Rafa and Djokovic (aka Rafole) took on a Canadian duo of Pospisil/Raonic (aka Posonic). The organizers of the tournament worked hard to get the match on Canadian TV…the rest of the world was out of luck, however. Despite this being the only the second time that the #1 and #2 players have teamed up – the first time was Connors/Ashe in 1976 (that combo still boggles my mind). They played well, but couldn’t quite pull it off. Posonic win: 5-7, 6-3, 10-8.
RC: Doubles draw
The doubles draw is out. Rafa and Nole will face the Canadian wild-card team of Pospisil/Raonic in their first round match. If they make it through that, they take on the #5 seeded team Melzer/Petzschner who have a bye in the first round.
(And I see no mention of Marc! on the list. *sob*)
Queens: Rafa out of doubles
Per the official tweeter for the tournament, Rafa has pulled out of the doubles in Queens:
@AEGONChamps: He has a right hamstring injury, but expects to make a good recovery. Plans to go back to Mallorca and put his racquets down for a few days.
Queens: Team Cuteness mows the lawn
Not happy with just dominating a singles match today, Rafa returned later in the day with Marc! They teamed up to take out Schuettler/Tipsaravic in straight sets 6-4, 6-3. Next up? Lindstedt/Tecau – the number 6 seeds. Party on, dudes.
Queens: Doubles draw
The draw fairy brought us two gifts today – Team Cuteness will take on Queens! If they get past Schuettler/Tipsarevic in the first round, they would face the seeded team of Lindstedt/Tecau in the second. Vamos Team Cuteness!
