Acte benèfic de la Fundación Nadal al RCTB from a few days ago (thanks, Beebs). From the mangle, Rafa was limping? Perhaps the rumors about another treatment to his knees after DC is true? Just conjecture at this point – I have no facts.

Rafa’s 7th consecutive Monte-Carlo and 6th Roland Garros wins came in #4 on the ATP list of top acheivements of 2011.
And his match against Isner came in #5 in the ATP list of best slam/DC matches of the year. #3 on the list is Rafa’s match against Del Potro in the DC final.
Look who are tied in percentage for 2nd serve points won in their career. And who leads the 1st and 2nd serve return points won on clay. And who leads the break points converted percentage on clay. Oh, and return games

A long weekend in NY and I’m even further behind – sorry! BTW, those waiting on a DC version of the calendar? It might be a while…I haven’t even had a chance to start sorting through photos yet.

2011 Davis Cup Finals in Seville: More Than I Hoped For
I had some pretty high expectations for my trip to Spain to see Rafa and The Armada play 2011 David Cup Finals against Argentina… amazingly, all of them were exceeded. I had only 2 goals for this tennis adventure: (1) see Rafa play on clay (2) get a bit of clay to bring home. Not too much to hope for I thought… What I experienced was so much more!
I knew it would be worth it – never mind the ticket buying nightmare, barely making my flight out of Chicago, missing my train in Madrid, missing my flight in London –

Here’s a huge backlog of DCLint. You guys have probably already seen all of this, but I feel compelled…
(Um, I did all the videos first and then kind of lost steam…sorry. I still have a massive sleep deficit to recover. I’m not young like Rafa! Please forgive all typos.)

Davis Cup finals – 2011
In the midst of the wonderful afterglow I had from attending the Davis Cup quarterfinals, I started thinking about going to the semis in Cordoba. That didn’t work out and I was sad. The results of the semis, however made me happy because they meant the final would be played in Spain and would be Spain vs. Argentina – teams with players on my “like to watch” checklist. Needless to say, I immediately started looking at budget and vacation time for work. After much conspiring with fellow RafaFans, plans were made, flights were booked, an apartment
DC: Spain wins again!
They did it! Again! And it was amazing! Again! And there was bouncing! And a wee, wee bit of dancing. And confetti from a blower (that, sadly, Rafa wasn’t interested in this year). And it was all good.

There’s so much happy laughing RafaLint out there. I’m in a bit of a hurry because I’m doing my final prep for my trip to Seville. Feel free to add comments to this with links to more fun stuff you find. I can’t promise how much I’ll post while away – I have a city to see and The Armada to cheer for!
Anyone up for a super long Radio interview with the teams? Man, I wish I spoke Spanish.
