WTF: Clare at the O2
Clare, from the BBC 606 Rafa Nadal Appreciation thread, sent me a link to some photos she took during the WTF tournament. Including at least one famooos ass shot. :) Check them out. And, since you’ll be roaming around in flickr anyway, you’ll want to check out her Monte Carlo and USO shots as well.
WTF? Final blog and Q&A
Rafa’s final blog and Q&A are up. First the blog.
Hello and goodbye to everyone.
It looks like the blog I have been doing here didn’t bring me the luck as in previous ones … I am already heading today back home and I thought I needed to write this before I leave London.
I have been treated unbelievable well by everyone. By you the fans, by the ATP, the tournament organizers, the hotel people. Everything here has been great except
WTF: post RR3 presser
The transcript of Rafa’s presser can be found here.
Q. How would you describe your performance today compared to your first two matches.
RAFAEL NADAL: Well, it wasn’t bad. Wasn’t enough, but wasn’t really bad.
Yeah, you know, it was a match that I didn’t play for a lot, just to try to finish with not bad feelings. And I think I did for moments. I did some different things than I did the other days. I play some good
Spanish press starting to pile on?
It would seem so by the Google translation of this story summary:
What happens to Nadal?
16:34’s slump Spanish tennis player generates an extensive debate on his fitness (27/11/2009).

WTF? Done & dusted
Rafa was a dead man walking today in London – he had no chance of making the WTF semis. The match wasn’t totally without consequences, though: Djokovic needed to win in order to have a chance to make the semis and Rafa needed to protect his #2 ranking. The first set went to a tiebreaker with neither contestant playing that well. Rafa’s back stiffened up in the second set and a massage couldn’t keep him from being broken in the 4th game. It felt rather inevitable after that. Nole wins: 6-7(5), 3-6.
WTF? Cute tots
mary pointed me towards this video about the mascots that accompanied the players onto the court for the Rafa/Davydenko match. I love it when the kid checks the giant blue ball to make sure the company name shows. I’m sure he was told to make sure that name showed.
