Well, as I type this, the last of my photos are finally uploading. I’m not happy with most of them because, well, I’m me. Right now, I’m so relieved there are no night matches in Monte-Carlo…

Okay, I’m going to bed now. Rafa’s 2nd up after 2pm tomorrow in Miami – right in the middle of my work day. Please be patient if I don’t get a match report up right away.

IW: Post final presser

IW: Post final presser

Rafa’s post final presser has finally been posted:

Q. What happened after the sixth game of the second set when you lost six games in a row?

RAFAEL NADAL: Nothing. I think I was playing my best match here. The first set I think I played really good, having the control of most of the points, and I felt well.

After that, at the end of the first set, I started to serve really bad; and second set still in the beginning, even if I

IW: Semifinal presser transcript

Rafa’s semifinal presser transcript is finally up:

Q. What happened at 4-1 in the first set did? You consciously make any adjustments, or it just kind of fell in?

RAFAEL NADAL: Well, I think that the match started a little bit strange for me because I — well, strange and not strange, no, because I had few mistakes with the forehand. I think the first game of the return I played well.

But when I served for the first time in the match, I think

IW: And then the wheels fell off

IW: And then the wheels fell off

Rafa and Nole – Rafaole – a rivalry that has produced some excellent nail-biting matches over the years. They’ve met more frequently than Rafa/Federer even though that rivalry is hyped a lot more. Today, they met in the finals of Indian Wells. Going into the match, Nole had an 19 match winning streak on the line and Rafa had a 5 match winning streak vs Nole in finals. Which streak would hold?

Rafa showed up wide awake and brought his serve with him.
