Toronto & Cincy?

Toronto & Cincy?

According to the Google mangling of this article/video, Rafa will play both tournaments.

The video has interviews with Toni and Emilio Sanchez who appear to have taken part in some sort of “Tennis Congress” per this video and title.

And for those of us who are confused about the differences in hard courts, Mind the Racket tries to break things down for us. Problem is, there’s still confusing info out there.

Practice resumes on Thursday

Practice resumes on Thursday

Per Rafa’s official site, he’ll resume practice on Thursday:

After a deserved holiday, Rafa Nadal will begin training on Thursday for the last part of the season in America. The year so far couldn’t have been better for the world No.1. He ended the clay-court season with an impeccable record and 4 titles, and if that wasn’t already a great feat, he completed (a very short) but perfect grass season with a second Wimbledon title.

Rafa will be looking at improving his game and probably

Olympus US Open Series preview

Olympus US Open Series preview

Here’s a preview of the Olympus US Open Series. Did you know the American hard-court summer season was called the Olympus US Open Series? Players will play on the Olympus US Open Series during the summer. The Olympus US Open Series is played on hard courts. The Olympus US Open Series culminates in the US Open. After the US Open, the Olympus US Open Series is over. But, next year, the Olympus US Open Series will happen again. Unless there’s a new sponsor. Then there will be a new name to say over and over and over and over again.

More Montreal photos

I took some photos for the kind people at Tennis Connected when I was in Montreal. They are the folks who helped me get access to the on court photo bench. Ooo-la-la! It’s Lil in Montreal

Ooo-la-la! It’s Lil in Montreal

I was very excited to go to the Rogers Cup in Montreal! First it was my first professional tennis tournament, second it was going to be Rafa’s big come back and he was the reason I broke my piggybank, and I knew that eventually miri was going to be there, and I thought it would be fun to meet her.

I am a very big fan of Rafael Nadal, but I also love the rest of the Armada, so I did not only concentrate on Rafa; which made it a very

Taking the Plunge: Three steps to a great tournament

Taking the Plunge: Three steps to a great tournament

So there I was sitting at my desk some time in mid-April, thinking about how I wanted to plan a getaway. But I didn’t want o take too much time away and I didn’t want to spend too much money and I didn’t want to have too many challenges (distance, language, transportation, etc). I’m not sure why Montreal popped into my head, but it did. I guess it had to do with the French class I was taking at the time.
