Hello everybodyguys! Sorry I abandoned you at a time with so much wonderful happy smiley Rafa news. But everyone I’ve asked to help update this site and said they would either hasn’t learned how or no longer replies to emails. ;) Remember, that Genny and Inés are doing their best to update Facebook. You don’t have to have a Facebook account to follow their posts (which are also automatically tweeted). I’m just going to copy/paste links from my Pocket account until my ride to the airport gets here. Then I’m off to Indian Wells!

Acapulco: Big hat, big pear, big smile
Last night, Rafa earned his second title of the year by resoundingly defeating David Ferrer 6-0, 6-2. I was so happy for Rafa, so sad for Daveeeed. After the match, Rafa confirmed that he’s going to IW. (This took me 15 minutes to type on my jacked up tablet. Oye. Traveling light is not always a good thing.)
Acapulco: Test passed
In the last Acapulco semi, Rafa faced the highest ranked player of his comeback so far: #12 Nicolas Almagro. Almagro’s been playing well and this would be Rafa’s biggest test so far. Both guys started out with strong hold after strong hold. Rafa was the first to struggle, but he remained unbroken and, showing his knack for excellent timing, broke Almagro in the 12th game to take the set 7-5.
