RAFA, the book, that is. Thanks to some nice promotion people, I have three copies of Rafa’s new biography to give away. Since they also gave me a preview copy to read and review, I’m going to throw in the one I ordered from Amazon as well.

1. Put on your thinking caps and think of a chapter title you’d like to see in the book, such as “Ode to my Famooos Ass”. Your title could be funny or serious, tennis related or not.
Software update – Complete
Okay, the update is done. Not exactly smooth – the part I thought was going to cause the problem didn’t! It was something else entirely. *sigh*
Now that I’m done, I’m going to go back to staring at Pico staring at the camera wondering why his livestream isn’t working…
Server issues
Hey, guys. I’m having some problems with the server getting overloaded because, for reasons I can’t comprehend, you guys like to hang out here. ;) So, I’m installing some server caching software tonight. Problem is, I’ve never done this before. The chance of me mucking things up and the site not functioning are fairly high. Please be patient!
Once I get things sorted out, I’ll post today’s vids and lint. Until then, here’s some Rafa presser video to distract you.
Chat Plugin
I’ve added a chat box to the side bar. I’m hoping this will give people who want to a place to chat/frazzle/rejoice during matches. This is the free version of the chat. I don’t see any reason to pay for one until I know if you guys like it and want to use it. Since it’s free, you’ll see adverts just above the box where you put your name in. Also, there’s no integration with the site membership here, which is kind of a bummer. One of the benefits of this chat box is that the code and traffic are

Hey, guys – I’m in the middle of slowly deleting over 7000 spam user accounts. I’m trying to weed out the real ones from the bad, but if you suddenly find you can’t log in…sorry! :(

2011 Calendars
The new calendars are ready! Wait, calendars? As in plural? Yep. I made a version I liked and ran it by a few people. They felt the selection of pictures were too similar – torso up shots of Rafa practicing – and lacked action. So, I did a second version that included more action filled insets. This one seemed to meet with the approval of my testing committee. I decided to make both options available. So, here you go:

Registration problem
There was a problem with registering for the site. I think a recent upgrade to the captcha form on the page was causing the problem and have temporarily removed it. If you tried to register recently and it didn’t work, give it another shot. Sorry about the problem. I’ll eventually have to put the captcha back up to keep spammers down, but I’ll need to sort out what was causing the problem first.
