While Rafa was playing his semifinal in Basel, the draw was performed in Paris. It just never ends. In singles, Rafa has a first-round bye and then will play the winner of a match between a qualifier and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.

Seeds in his quarter are Anderson, F. Lopez, and Wawrinka. Seeds in his half are Berdych, Tsonga, Simon and, yes, Djokovic. Seeds in the other half are Murray, Federer, Ferrer, Cilic, Isner, Nishikori, Gasquet, and Goffin.

In doubles, Rafa is teaming up with Leander Paes. Their first round match will be against Ravan Klaasen and Rajeev Ram.

This is another really tough draw for Rafa. Djokovic has another easy draw. It does not seem fair but when you are playing so well it seems luck goes with you. Rafa is now number 6 so he is rising. I hope he wins today, but win or lose he has had a great week in Basel. He had the most exciting matches and incredible shots.

Djokovic always seems to get an easy draw! more than luck??? Rafa still had his knee taped up in the Basel final which concerns me. Great week regardless of the loss, he lost to a great champion, just hope he can ride the momentum in Paris.

I dont think Djoker got an easy draw. If you take djoko and fed out, technically i feel anderson, lopez, berdych, wawrinka and rafa is a tougher draw than cilic, ferrer, isner, nishikori and murray. Not that I am supporting Djoko, but he simply is a great player and anyone in his half would seem like a weak draw at this time.

But it is true that Rafa has a very difficult draw, potentially, rosol, Anderson, Wawrinka, Djoko, Fed (He may not see this one as it will most likely end with Djoko even if he reaches there).
