  • raficionada (aka creamola_foam on twitter) has uploaded some Davis Cup videos to her YouTube channel. I’m certain you’ll find a lot to enjoy. I’m dying laughing at how he works a towel…or doesn’t work it.

Rafa does social media:

Rafa let us know that he, Toni and some huge baggy shorts were back at work:

Social media related to Rafa:

While the photo of Rafa in golf gear in yesterday’s lint post was old, he has been golfing…and his team won.

So Rafa was the most rooted for male player and the most booed player overall? I bet Rafa finds such ‘statistics’ hilarious ;)

I noticed that too Heath. We live in a strange world!

So Rafa the most rooted & booed male player? What a load of bull ! He won, thats all that matters.
New Yorkers are Federer fans. Unfortunately not much to cheer about this year !

  5. Kate says:

Hmmm, so he was the most boo-ed (well, not really…he was tied with Roger), yet he was also the 2nd most rooted for…weird. The “rooted for” numbers far outweigh the “boo-ed”. I’ll focus on that number. :)

  6. Sammy says:

The rooting rate is understandable; Rafa has the co-biggest fanbase (with Fed) in tennis.

The Booing is probably understandable too; a substantial minority of that large Fed fanbase is bitter due to Rafa’s domination of him and they “vent” their frustration on social media all over the web with negative comments about Rafa. Same scenario applies to some of the fans of other Rafa victims, lol!

Regardless, I highly doubt that Rafa gives a fig about the booing; he’s been around long enough to know that negativity is part and parcel of being a celebrity. He’s a positive guy so he’ll focus only on the positive, and, thankfully, there’s plenty of that to go around for him.

how can you be the most rooted and be the most booed at the same time?
this poll is just baffling…i don’t get it.

    • Lyn says:

Well, maybe a low percentage of people actually boo a player. Most people I know just don’t Boo players. So, of the small number of people who actually “B00″, Rafa gets the most attention. (Or say Djokovic fans and Fed fans are a vocally vicious group)

  8. Merrill says:

What these “most rooted for” & “most booed” numbers are telling me is that Rafa is an extremely charismatic tennis player who attracts lots of attention. VAMOS RAFA!!!
