RafaLint: March 1st
Some quick lint while I: pack for my trip to NYC, tweet and watch the match. (Sadly that means I’m doing none of these things very well.) I’m going to NYC for the exhibition match on Monday – but I won’t have credentials, have nosebleed seats and MSG says no long lenses allowed. *sigh* Also, this means I may or may not be able to make a match post tomorrow…should one be needed (no jinxing!).

Genny tweeted translations of Rafa’s post quarterfinal on-court interview comments:
Rafa’s happy to be in SF in a very special tournament for him. he’s happy with his knee, too. He’s running almost normally. Difficult match!
Rafa acknowledges the crowd. He doesn’t have words to thank them for their support. Re: SF with Nico, Rafa reminds us he’s been 7 months out
(cont) and this is his 3rd tournament, while Nico arrives here better prepared. But, irrespective of tomorrow’s result, he’s very happy w/..
(cont) how things are going in Acapulco. All that said, Rafa adds that tomorrow he’ll fight as always to get the win! :))

That interview with Adela Micha is just lovely. I haven’t seen him enjoying an interview so much in a long, long while. His face when she tells him that he must know that he is a bombón. Hahaha.
Have a great time miri !!
I thought this Adele interview was particularly decontracted and Rafa was very generous as usual, answering same question again as if it was the 1st time. Had someone noticed the weird cut when it comes to delicate doping topic? Wonder what was the concern there…
Loved the Micha interview. Rafa seemed fairly relaxed and seemed to have good rapport with the interviewer. Got the feeling that this is as close as we can get to seeing him just being himself, natural, charming, and enjoying himself in conversation.
