Woo-hoo. Our boy and his team have a plan. . .and they are on the move!!! !Vamos!

  2. JayDee50 says:

Hmmm, back-to-back tournaments: don’t overdo it, Rafa, look after those knees. But I honestly couldn’t be happier to know he’s coming back so soon. Vamos!!

  3. JK says:

As excited I am to get this positive news, I am already concerned looking at a packed February schedule. I thought it was going to be managing schedule better thing, going forward.
Unless he is focusing on clay and going to skip IW and Miami.

    Edited because spelling is good.

  5. Leah says:

Davis Cup is from the 1st to the 4th in Vancouver, British Columbia. Will he make an appearance to support the team??

    • sia says:

Pretty sure he won’t … I don’t think Ferru or Nico or Feli or Fer will be there either. The steadfast team of Marc! and Marcel will show it seems.

  6. Fan M. says:

Another Great News. Yippee! Good Luck Rafa! Remember Win/Win/Wins them All! Goooooooooo Rafa!

  7. Zaara says:

The wait is reduced further more! So damn excited! Just praying his knees to be alright !

  8. Rafa1 says:

He will win RG 2013 :)

  9. Ch F says:

I’ve sort of forgotten the feeling of good news. But I like it!!! I agree with those who say the return seems carefully planned. Don’t worry about the back to back tournaments, I’m sure Rafa and his team have it all figured out.

  10. Casual Observer says:

Finally ! VAMOS !! The X-factor (my nickname for Rafa given his record against the other top 3 players) is coming baaaaaaaaaaaaack.

  11. rafanatica says:

I’m so happy that we’ll be able to see our boy on court again but I hope and pray that he doesn’t overdo it! I feel alternately excited and worried. On the plus side, I’m sure he’ll get a very warm reception from his South American fans.

  12. Nils says:

YIPEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!CAN’T WAIT TO SEE RAFA ON COURT..THIS IS JUST SUPERB..IT’LL BE MY BDAY GIFT :))

  13. Isabelle says:

    A big happy smile here!

  14. Kathy says:

Cannot wait to see Rafa back on court and so glad it will be on clay. A good way for him to return and test his knee on a friendly surface
    (surfrace :-)
These tournaments will let him get a lot of matches under his belt and ease back in to his routines and build some confidence. I do wonder if he will play IW and Miami, but if his knee won’t allow him to, he can go straight to clay season in Monte Carlo. I hope he is able to play IW & Miami—so I can see him!!!

    • Sheila Carr says:

We also hope he can make one of these events. We have really missed seeing him in action, Rafa brings a whole different elment to a tournament. A sence of drame, excitment and danger.
      Vamos Rafa

  15. rahul says:

So excited to see him play after such a long time..
But why cant he pick just the important tournaments. When will he learn from Federer, just hope he doesn’t overdo himself again play just 3-4 months.

  16. leslie says:

Does anyone know of any live streaming for the tournament? Please!

  17. Marion says:

Rafa, I’m so excited that you are at long last returning to the court. You have got it exactly right by playing the smaller clay court tournaments. It gives you the opportunity to get some match practice before Indian Wells and Miami. Good luck and look after those knees. No points to defend after June so here’s to you climbing back up the rankings at the end of the season. Vamos Rafa. Love and miss you
