Thanks for all the lint Miri, some great stuff as always. I love the Facebook chat item, so funny and wonderfully written, it could almost be for real. Steve Tignor’s article was a really good piece too, and the trailer promo for the AO has really put me in the mood for tennis. Can’t wait for the new season to start.
can’t wait for new 2013 season to start!
The pic of the golf is not from this weekend, not even was taken in Mallorca, the guy is a jeweler from Castelllón and the same day he posted another pic this time of Sergio Garcia. It was taken in October 2011, in the Proam of Castellón, behind Rafa and the guy there is a pic and it can be read part of the letters “Comunitat Valencia” and here is a video where you can see Rafa dressed with the same shirt http://www.canalplus.es/play/video.html?xref=20111028plucandep_6.Ves
Love it that although Rafa played only six months of the year he’s in four of those top ten achievements!
fafa came in #2 in that golf tournament but his Uncle Miguel Angel is not far behind at #4.
I want a video tour of Rafa’s trophy room!
Counting down the days til the return of Rafa. Cannot wait. Looking more forward to that than Christmas. Lol.
Me too!
It’s not often I support Lleyton Hewitt, but in this case I can only agree 100% with his comment!!! I only read the first thread of the conversation on Twitter, so thanks for linking to the full reaction – I needed that laugh!
thanks for linking it. :)
Thanks, miri! Reading all this makes me miss and long for Rafatennis even more than before.
The AO article of last year’s semi is the stuff of legends. You know you’ll get top shelf stuff from Nadal and Federer when they face off. I actually missed this match last year as it was the first semi on Thursday night/Friday morning here in the U.S. Unlike the 2009 AO Final, I was not able to watch it. The shots in the semi last year were just ridiculous at times. Moreso considering Rafa’s bulky wrapped knee. I expect he’ll be healthier this year than last going into the tournament. I think tennis overall is better off when Rafa is healthy. Even his competitors can’t deny that the game has been different the last 6 months.
I agree!! Breathtaking tennis…
Something tells me Rafa has a PGA career ahead of him in his 30s once tennis is done. :)
If that’s the case I will have to become a golf fan.
Same here!
