Back on the practice courts
Guess who was back on the courts and smacking a tennis ball around? Yep, Rafa shared photos and videos from today’s practice session. Oh, and it was on the news too.

I am absolutely thrilled at this news. It’s my birthday tomorrow and what an amazing early birthday present especially since I missed seeing Rafa at the WTF this year like I’ve been lucky to the last couple of years.

I’m glad he practiced in secret first (I had my suspicions as to whether this was his actual first practice) as he wouldn’t want to get everyone’s hopes up again.
I have nobody in my life who really cares about tennis, let alone Rafa, like you guys do so glad to be sharing this happy day with you all.

What a good news!
This has made my day too. We’ve waited a long time to see this and now finally Rafa’s back to practising. He wanted to be pain-free when he came back so presumably he is; I just hope his knees are going to be okay from now on. It will be so good to see him on a match court again, I just can’t wait!

The best news I’ve heard for a while. It’s a sight for sore eyes seeing Rafa back on court. He’s looking mighty fine I must say. All that time in the gym has really kept him in shape ready for his return. Let’s go Rafa!!
Great news and a happy day for us all.
I’m thrilled just to see Rafa back on court practicing. Can’t tell how happy I’ll be if Rafa can play/compete with no pain and no further injury. All I want from now on is a happy healthy and fully fit Rafa. And I won’t ask for anything else. ;)

The Time has finally come!!!!!! On that day I have been waiting sooooo eagerly. I’m incredibly happy and also relieved somehow . Towards the end I had lost a bit of patience and hope that he will come back ….. It was a hard time, a big lean period and I realized how much I´m missing Rafa the tennis player. His strength and tranquility helped me a lot to get through this black hole. He is such a fighter. I admire him for everything. Now, I hope that everything goes as planned and there will be no setbacks anymore.I wouldn’t be capable to go through this ” cold turkey” time again …..But now I’m just happy and enjoying this wonderful news.

We have seen a lot of high quality tennis over the past five months, but SOMETHING has been missing, nomatter how much I tried to convince myself otherwise.
What could that be?
OH YES: The waterbottle ritual,(don´t dare to interfere!), the jumping up and down in front of the opponent,(you´d better watch out!), the zigzag running down to the baseline,(ready to go, what about you?)
The movement of a warrior on a mission,(poor chap on the other side),the pounding back on EVERY shot,(you got to be kidding), the incredible returns that noone else reaches,(what?) The fistpumping, the “VAMOS” celebration,(deep sigh, appreciation). The changing of the shirt(sigh again,the female croud go crazy), the shaking of the soaking wet hair when the match is over( job well done in Rafa style), the smile and thanking the crowd,(THAT smile can melt an iceberg).
Or is it just me?:-)

So happy with the news. Came at the same time as my 6th and last chemo treatment yeahhhh so so happy!! Can’t wait for the Abu Dhabi the first time he will play competitively 0n 28 Dec. He is an inspiration – In June I was so happy to go under the op for breast cancer surgery when I saw the last ball being struck when he won the FO. I was in hospital and the damn rain delayed it unti the Monday. I asked the nurse if I could have 10 mins for the trophy ceremony and she said no! But when I recovered I saw all the lovely tweets and this website that kept me going. And now I am well and he is too! How ironic. I have changed my mind and will say I will enjoy waking up in those early hours of the morning again and biting my nails and tearing my hair out (when I get mine back). Funny that he should tweet recently giving all his support to breast cancer women – I tweeted back with my story but no reply. I have missed him so much and especially when I was at home recovering and that shock Wimbledon exit. Now we know thank god he did lose – he may have damaged things long term and could have been a year to recover. A blessing in disguise indeed. Funnily enough I have been thinking of Monfils – when will he be back and Soderling? I msut admit I don’t think I would have ever thought I would say that…. but heah that’s the sport! All I wish now is that Rafa is in full recovery and can enjoy his tennis win, or lose and the pain and the knee problems will be gone forever and he will be healthy forever. Vamooooooooooosss xxxxxxxxxxxx

And guess who was back on the practice courts smacking Rafa’s arse? Alright, not me. But I would have done. Just out of joy seeing him in those shorts.
I am delighted and thrilled to see Rafa hitting balls over a net again. Oh how i have missed this man, like he is a long lost relative or friend.
I pray that he returns in 2013 to spice up the tennis world again, it has been an interesting year. I enjoyed watching Murray win the Olympics but Rafa brings something special to tennis, something that has been missing over the last 5 months.
I have fallen out of love with Federer, Ferrer has given me something to cheer for but I am a Rafa fan to the end and I am dying to see him back out there healthy, fit and winning.
I have been praying for Rafa since last June. Cant wait to see him on the tennis courts again. Boy is he exciting.
Tennis without Rafa loses excitement! Good to have him back in circulation! Obviously it will take awhile for him to get back on his feet, but i am sure we will enjoy the ecitement of his return and competition!
