RafaLint: November 17th
Lovely quotes from Daveeed in this article: The 5th Man’s Finest Season May Yet Get Finer.
“Not to say that I’m close to lots of stars and famous people, but Rafa is the most down-to-earth and humble star that I know,” Ferrer said. “Irrespective of how good a tennis player he is, I think he’s a better person than a tennis player. And I think we’re all lucky to have someone like Rafa, more because of the kind of person he is than because of the kind of tennis player he is. He’s normal. He plays tennis, but tennis is a sport and life goes on, and Rafa handles it really well. He doesn’t give more importance to tennis than it deserves. I see it the same way. Being an athlete is not worth more than another job. It’s just more recognized than most other jobs.”

ARGH! I left the Daveeed article/quote out. It was one of the main reasons I wanted to do a lint post before catching some sleep. I’ve added it.
great comments from Daveed confirming what we all knew how nice and normal a guy Rafa is. also confirms that Daveed is the same. :)
Yes love them both. After Rafa David is my favourite player. That’s why I find it difficult to watch them play each other.
Same here.
I agree all thoughts about David. He is a very decent person and a fantastic player. But I believe he lacks of passion and charisma top three have. Davis cup: As Berdych told reporters, Almagro is the weakest link of the team. I wonder why the captain didn’t replace him with Verdasco or FLo.
Anyway when Rafa turns and begins to play for his country, the problem will be solved.
David is a quiet person and doesn’t have a bad word to say about anybody or anything. He doesn’t have that special shot in his armour to beat the top 3 but he certainly makes them work for their victories. I think he is just as important for the Davis Cup team as Rafa and plays consistently for his country so if that isn’t passion I don’t know what is.
Almagro has a better ranking, he deserved it. Plus, once he had played the match against Berdych he couldn’t be replaced.
