Can’t wait to see Rafa in tennis clothes again.
Thanks miri for all your hard work.
I have been avoiding this Rafalint for 3 days ( originally titled the Juan Carlos Ferrero edition???) because I knew I would be bawling my eyes out. For a person whose career achievements have been undermined by so many injuries, JCF has always seems to project graciousness and generousity to others whenever I see him interviewed. It seems incredible to me that there has been such scant media coverage and accolades extended to honour his career. Haven’t seen one second of tv coverage of his retirement or retrospective of his career. What a stark contrast to all attention given to Andy Roddick’s retirement.
Loved Rafa’s presence at the ceremony -all decked out in his suit, and his apparent sincerity (since of course I understood not one word) and the esteem that Daveed and Nicolas Almagro always show for JCF. Great that Sergio Garcia’s tribute was included as a non tennis athlete’s appreciation.
I know Rafa won’t mind if I use his Nadal News forum to Vamos JCF and thank him for all his contributions over an outstanding tennis career. Viva JCF siempre!
