New site feature: subscribe by email

The script that auto-tweeted new posts from the site broke today due to some changes in the Twitter api. In my search for a fix for this, I found a plug-in from WordPress that will allow you to sign up for email notifications when a new post is made. You can find the signup form towards the bottom of the right side bar. Put your email address in the box and click the subscribe button. You’ll be sent an email to the address you entered to confirm your subscription.

Something appears to have greatly impacted server load in a negative way. I’m not sure if it was the tweeting plug-in or the one that allows for subscriptions. Sorry about the slow page loads while I try to sort this out.
I’ve disabled this feature for now – or am trying to. It keeps reactivating itself. Freaky.
