Rafa only has 190 points to defend in August, of those he’s only losing 10 by not playing in Toronto. In that same time frame, Djokovic is defending 1600, Federer 270 and Murray 1010.

    Funny, rankings. With Rafa not having played for so long now, well, they don’t mean too much any more. I’m just hoping that somehow his knees will recover to allow him to compete at the top level.2009 comeback in latter part of the eyar was so tough to watch, and i’m sure tough for him. But I think things are changing – Murray’s olympic performance against djokvich and federer does signal somehting very new happening. Just hope rafa’s health can permit him to be part of it….at the top again

      Add Del Potro to the equation too. I think Murray’s gold medal will bring significant changes to his game and mentality.
      I can only hope Rafa will come back healthy and play his game at the top.

    At least he’s not going to have to play Andy Murray hottest player on tour in semis. Del Potro I guess is now a threat though.

    Ooh, I hope Rafa is 100% before he competes. I don’t care about the rankings. I just want him to win more Grand Slams and have many years more to play.
