What the original research confirmed is that when we tennis fans are first presented with a draw to a major tennis tournament, they move through multiple stages of elation, anxiety and despondency, often too tediously for the naked eye to follow.

Rafa does social media:
- Rafa shared a photo of himself and today’s practice partner: Stanislas Wawrinka.
- And then one of him enthusiasticly cheering on the Spanish football team. I love that he’s as dorky about football as we are about tennis.
Tweets about Rafa:
“The penguins didn’t came?” A Rafa joke as he walks into a freezing press conference room #Wimbledon

Phew! Nice bunch of articles to tie me over until Wimbledon start!:o)
Hip hip hooray they’ve banned blue clay!!
Well when Rafa and Nole said they were not coming next year to play on blue clay, Mr. Tiriac must have been a little worried about his crowd pullers not being there, no disrespect to any other tennis players.
Great news they’ve banned the blue clay. Hopefully Madrid won’t do another publicity stunt next year. Great that Spain won last night at the football – want Rafa happy at Wimbledon!
I hope that the ATP decision regarding “blue clay” will grace his game with little extra brio, after all the criticism he and Novak took for their public stand.
And now we can give Roger’s blue victory the asterisk it deserves.
Meanwhile, I must remain strong and resist reading the online comments to all the related articles. Such pettiness and nastiness, such bitterness and hate! So out of proportion to what their heroes feel, surely.
(Side note: Good to see Ferrer and Roddick win. Certainly will add to the Wimble Wobbles.)
Why does Roger’s victory in Madrid deserve an asterisk?
It’s a joke, CC. He is now, for what may be forever, The King of Blue Clay.
“I set one record in Athens as the sportsman who spent the least time at an Olympic Games. The week before I played in Sopot, where I won my first tournament. I arrived on the Saturday night, lost on the Sunday and went home.”
HAHAHA funny!
The penguins comment is a riot. Rafa is a lot more capable of dry humor than most people realize.
Rock on BG … haha.
Look at cute unshaven Marc!
Loved Pentecost’s latest. And Rafa’s penguins quip. Ditto his Athens Olympics bit.
These, and PseudoFed’s “IF” entry, have made my day!
