I read the Yin/Yang blog the other day. Really good article by a man who knows Rafa fairly well I would guess.
I love the Yin and Yang piece – great read! I love that people who know Rafa see and love the same things in him that we fans think we see from a distance.
Love the personal tone of the writing. How lucky sanchez is to know him this well. Keep on the fight, the samurai who never dies, Rafa!
Loved the personal aspect of the Yin and Yang article.
However, in regards to Steve Tignor’s grass article, I can’t help but be so annoyed at people’s comments. The people commenting on the article truly believe that Rafa cannot be considered one of the greatest because he hasn’t won a non-clay tournament since 2010. I immediately found this awful considering Rafa’s enormous effort in reaching the 2011 Wimbledon and US Open finals, and the 2012 Australian Open final. Silliness.

Me too Julie. I always like Chris Oddo’s writing about tennis and he has a lovely respect and admiration for Rafa. :)
He does, and his writing is thoughtful, insightful and intelligent. How refreshing. He and Tignor are my favorites:)
Over the last 4 years I’ve come to realise how special a sportsman & person Rafa is only to have that confirmed in abundance by Mr. Emilio Sanchez Vicario. Well said sir. Don’t think I’ll ever admired any sporting person as much in the future.
