   Clearly, playing your friends is prob a tough ask. Pico is his best friend on tour at personal level and on tour. So, Rafa competes and expects his opponent to do likewise, in this competition called tennis. Nevertheless, he has compassion after the match for his friend, and it shows on his face that his friend was ‘suffering’ to use his words.

   Rafa has had that to deal with this situation for more than a few years, but he always has compassion for his friends/opponents. To compete, you have to have a game face and later a personal face. He compartmentalizes these activities, a necessity to be successful and still have friends.

   Fernando V. mentioned this recently as I recall.

   Hopefully Rafa will be playing all of his friends in these later rounds because that means they are all playing very well at each tournament!!!!!!
