RafaLint: May 11th

Sometimes, I loathe the interwebs. I get impatient with people and want to smack the hell out of them. Sometimes, I lurve it so much. Like, when Rafa shared this photo of him looking happy and relaxed on a fishing boat. Yep, he’s off the blue clay and in the middle of the blue ocean. And holding up a fish. A really big fish. A really big, ugly fish. I wondered what kind of fish it was. I wondered it out loud on twitter. And twitter responded. Beautiful, no?

Then I wondered if it was tasty. And lo and behold, the same helpful twitter person responded.

Sounds like Rafa not only had a happy fishing trip, but a happy dinner too.

So, thank you interwebs for images of smiley, relaxed Rafa and for people who have answers to my silly questions.

Thank you for the fish story, miri!!!

I woke up in the middle of the night stressing about Rafa maybe losing #2 and maybe losing to Djoko in semis but that pic made my night! Rafa knows how to live!

  2. aRNita says:

Love the pic of the fish, which I saw online. It is a mighty catch indeed. And I am not referring to Pez de San Pedro *wink*

Also wondered about the fish species, looked it up in a book (!) and then googled the origin of its name as there are more people with fish names than fish with people names. Rafa looks wonderful, but at first I thought he was holding up plastic flotsam. Hope he is practicing and is colm and happy.

  4. sunset says:

A beautiful day to have a good time in tranquility of the blue ocean instead of the madness of blue clay. Good for him.

  5. Aini says:

BLUE SEA = GOOD for Rafa, BLUE CLAY= BAD for Rafa! :o)

  6. CC says:

I’m glad Rafa seems to trust the fish’s intentions. I think Rafa and I are the same in that respect. I’m not so keen on pets, or animals on land, but love marine life. Love Rafa in that photo, love the sea, love Mallorca. *sighs*

I agree with Uncle toni, Madrid is an outrage. Slippery wet blue gunk not clay at all. And they seem to be happy to disadvantage the spanish players in the capital of Spain! Extrodinary.

    • Aini says:

      well..Ion Tiriac is a Non-Spanish..:o)

      • Keith says:

They are Nationalising the Banks to stop them collapsing even when the Spanish Government says they have no money. They need to nationalise the Madrid Tennis tourny and bring back the clay.

  8. Annie says:

Yup, Rafa really knows how to live. He’s got a nice balance in his life. So the thought of Milos in Rome makes me verrrrry nervous. But there’s nothing we can do but hold on for the ride!!!

  9. aRafaelite says:

John Dory’s are delicious. He would have had a very nice dinner indeed! I did offer to cook it for him on FB, but sadly he didn’t respond. Guess he was too hungry to wait for me to fly in from Australia…

Miri, I’m disappointed in you! You wouldn’t tolerate people calling another tennis player ugly on here, why are you allowing people to insult this poor fish?! It’s not ugly… it’s just DEAD! ;-)
