Chris Oddo says in Heroes and Zeroes that Rafa is ‘larger than life’. I found that quite true in his clay court domain. Still interesting to read.
Very true. But I believe only Fed and Djoko have beaten Rafa in clay court finals so no need for Oddo to single out the Spanish players.
Re ‘Deconstructing Barcelona’ Ferrer impressed me too. How does a guy who’s been renowned for years for getting the most out of his talent/ability keep IMPROVING? At 30 yet? Tignor said Ferrer hasn’t got an extra gear but I think that’s because he plays in his top gear most of the time.
