Thanks for the pics. Nice as their principal subject is, I have to admit La Sagrada Familia is looking kind of rough. When I visited it in 1993, it looked exactly like that, complete with the construction beams and cranes. I wonder if it is destined to be in perpetual construction…
Construction started in 1882 – they hope to finish it in 2026 or 28. The Spanish are in no hurry.
I just finished looking through your 2009 Barcelona pics and I’m amazed. They’re truly exceptional. Even the actual tennis ones! Yes, I know this is off-topic.

These Barcelona photos only brings back SAD memories for me..as I flew from Malaysia to Barcelona (a good 13 hours flight!) in April 2010 just to watch Rafa play ..and he withdrew..sigh..
so I skipped few days of tennis, went to Sagrada Familia , and to a FC barcelona shop there and bought myself a ticket to a football match instead.. :o(
I was catching up on twitter when I saw your post about your 2009 Barcelona Davis Cup trip. I then read your
Miriland blog and reread the 09 Barca blogs. Had not seen this post with these beautiful photos yet and was excited when @rafaholics tweeted one. Love these, especially since I felt like I was there when you were describing your tourist time adventures. Sorry if this makes no sense but I am just excited about RAFA being in Barcelona again. It’s late-need to go to bed. Have to get up and catch a stream- I’m sorry you will miss his match.
