ugh, i told myself i wouldn’t frazzle/worry anymore, but why are rafa’s wrists taped (from the flickr batch)? i don’t remember ever seeing him with taped wrists before. though i see those photos were taken on the 7th and they don’t seem to be taped yesterday?

Hi Abbey. I noticed that too about the bandages and am frazzling end even more so now after his vid about the footzy. I think his one wish above everthing (even above winning against Djok) is his health – as he said the worst momenent in 2011 is not his 5th consequtive loss to Djok but the injury in the Aussie open. Please be healthy. A bit of a blow he lost the doubles. As from his interview he wanted to go fairly deep for good practice. Sigh….

Don’t worry… Last year in the North American HC season ( Toronto or/and Cincy ) we’ve seen this tape too, iff i remember correctly someone had a perfectly logic explanation for it then and it had something to do with the sweating and not to support the wrist… I’ll try to look it back up.

So glad to hear Pete Sampras praise and confidence in Rafa. I hope Rafa hears this and comes out on fire! Vamos!

Kinda wish I hadn’t watched that video, Rafa looks so tired and sad. Hopefully that was just a bit of jetlag. At least he cheered up with the whole I can’t even remember my mother’s birthday, let alone Roger’s thing! It’s great to hear Pete raving about his game and his attitude though… but it’s FIVE wins not SIX!!! Five is quite enough thank you! Some great pics in those sets too!

  4. JC says:

Rafa looks scrumptious in that presser video. His hair looks thick and full (wonder if they styled him?), the colour of the polo suits him so well, and there’s a regular eyebrow fest going on. I just wish he wouldn’t wear his initials on his shirt… it’s a little too Roger!

  5. faeaki says:

Yeah his hair does look lovely, maybe the ‘armani’ folk have been giving him hair treats for regrowth! or some serum? he is looking handsome than ever, the pics are gorg! and the shorty one, those legs, *swwoooooooons*….

I hope he isn’t Sooo injured, with Murray out and Feds form uncertained it all looks in favour of nOVAK again!!! sorry to be pesemistic but Rafa is looking so so handsom e these days but underneath it all he isn’t 100% fit, and I hate to see him play when he isn’t right, it just means more losses thus lack of confidence!

Great interview from Pete, so nice to hear from another great champ!

  6. rafafan says:

Presume every Rafa fan knows its raining in Montreal and its 10.45pm English time (meant to start at 10pm – 5pm Canadian time) and still got Cilic and Del Porto to go – only done a handful of games in that. And weather looks bad. I guess the match might be played tomorrow, which in a funny way might help Rafa with the healing of the footsy no?

  7. faeaki says:

I don’t think one day is gonna make a difference to his foosty’.. too bad its been raining, so much tennis to play, am anxious as hell for Rafa!

  8. Jenny says:

Yes I was waiting with my laptop ready to live stream. Should I wait up? It’s now 11.30pm in London

  9. Jenny says:

Sorry about that – suffering sleep deprivation (kept awake by London riots last few nights) & didn’t even think.
