RG: Go blue!
At some point last year, I stopped biting my fingernails and started painting them. During a match, I noticed that I’d painted them almost the exact same color as Rafa’s shirt. Rafa did well at the tournament. Next tournament, I figured…why not? I went through a lot of colors until finally, I started biting them again. (Thank goodness I didn’t get stuck with that salmon pink color from Canada and Cincy.) A few days ago, I noticed some people tweeting about painting their nails blue for Roland Garros since Rafa’s wearing blue. Sounded like a good idea! I still have no fingernails, so today I got a pedicure. So, why am I boring you with all this? Because everyone should go blue!

Yep, paint your finger or toenails blue, upload a photo to a photo sharing service, and link to it in the comments*. I’ll nab the photo and add it to the gallery. Not adventurous enough to have blue nails? (Booo!) Take a picture of you in blue shirt, blue hat, blue headband…something blue and use that. (Um, just nothing pornographic, please.)

Yes, I know this is silly, but sometimes, being silly is fun. And I hate my toes and am still willing to inflict them upon you for a good cause. Please don’t let them sit up there all by themselves. ;)

I just had a pedicure done last week and so like it and want to keep it. :_) So I just painted my fingernails blue.
Blue fingernails = Rafa’s shirt
French pedi = Rafa’s shorts
I think it works out! :D

Everyone’s nails and other blue accouterments look great, but I think I’m going to have to go with sia on this one!
My son’s using his mega blocks to decorate his nails instead! I did one myself too in this go blue photo shoot, but since no one else is showing her face I’ll let my cutie to do the honour.
The decision whether or not to show your face is entirely personal. Some people aren’t comfortable with pictures of themselves on public websites, so they choose to not show their faces. (Or, some people like me, just aren’t fond of their faces!) If you are fine with it, no reason you shouldn’t.

Hi Miri! I was keeping up with the live scores this morning and when Rafa was losing 2 sets, I started losing it too. I JUST had to do something and ended up editing my avatar — BLUE HAIR! As I was finishing it up, Rafa’s scores were improving too! (OK like it really had anything to do with it, but I can dream!) So if it’s OK to have 2 blue pix, I’d love to add this one to the list above! Thank you!!! :D

Absolutely love the concept, and you know what they say about “true Blue” so let’s hope this doesn’t give us the tennis Blues. I’ll get a mani and pedi :)

And, the whole thing “Go Blue” thing inspired an article. The 7 Traits of Rafael Nadal that all great marketing consultants must have. Hey, sorry, it’s a marketing blog, so … you know. But the point is I took a pic of my blue nails and used it in the article!
