RG: Saturday’s grab bag

More close ups of his lovely hands. Pic#5 he’s even got the ball in such a postition so we can read the writing! Next practice Rafa let’s have some bright colours so your actual match outfit doesn’t come as too big a shock!!

    • Atch2 says:

Looks like he’s wearing different styles of briefs?

Great reads, great pics, nice to read some Rafa news before I go to bed. Loved reading the Agassi article, and his analysis on Rafas play and forehand was interesting, but I do hope he is right, there seems to be so much pressure around Rafa right now, even Roger is saying that both have to get to the final first and there are 26 players out there to stop that from happening….

  4. Fay says:

Oh and him practicing in those white tighty shorts mmm Rafa, very very nice..

  5. Moothong says:

Thanks veru much for such loaded information of Rafa. Enjoy reading/watching them. I do like Agassi’s analysis and found that probably only the players who have real matches with Rafa get deep understanding about his game. But Agassi elaborated in such an easy way to understand.
    Thanks once again !!

also i dont know if you are aware of this writer, Rohit Brijnath, he has been following rafa since 2005 and has written very good, infact great stories on rafa. he really gets him and respectes him a lot . you can google for all his stories on rafa . you will find most of him writting from 2005 still there. i hope you find them . you will really love them . they are really a joy for all rafa fans and also tennis fans .

    take care miri and rafa

Thanks for that article tennisfun. He’s obviously a Nadal fan but he still repeats the trope that so many other columnists do and one that really irks me. He says “But he is not a player of natural ability like Roger Federer. His game lacks the outrageousness or imaginativeness of Federer’s shotmaking. But, as sports writer Rohit Brijnath once wrote of Nadal, “What he lacks in skill, he makes up for with his will.””

For crying out loud, Rafa is not lacking in skill!!! Nor is he unimaginative! Cripes. Rafa has many beautiful shots and that he sometimes makes them while running at breakneck speed is plenty outrageous to me! Gah! It annoys me so much that he’s not given credit for the beautiful tennis he plays. /rant

*gives sharon a hug* I totally agree.

I enjoyed the article (thanks tennisfun) apart from the bit you quoted. In my opinion Rafa is incredibly talented and regularly makes outrageous, unbelievably brilliant shots. Stupid journalists.

        • tennisfun says:

i overlook the repeats when most of the story is good. and try to find Rohit Brijnath stories of rafa over the years since 2005 and read them . they are really good.

Rafa is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous in those watch promo photos. Love the white jeans.

Love Rafa pushing down that kid’s racquet from in front of his face in the club event video. Don’t ruin the photo!

  8. girl_from_mi says:

RG begins in less then 3 hours!

Can someone tell me: when is Rafa scheduled to play his first match?

  9. CC says:

Rafa looks amazingly fresh faced and beatiful in that Eurosport clip of the kids’ session. He has the most expressive face and fantastic smile! <3 <3 <3

And those white trousers weren't as bad as I first feared. He looks hot in anything.

    *sighs*

    ThighPorn in Pic 2 = :D

The Nike Club event vid is great. The kids sure made Rafa run for his shots. Hope he tied his shoelaces so as to be a good example to the kids. Smiling, strutting, kid-like Rafa is one of the best kind of Rafa ever.
