i love these to. so much handsomeness in one court? how does it manage?!
and rafa in purple?! yes please :-)

    • Susanna728 says:

Me too. Love Rafa – love purple. With the tight gray shorts it can’t get any better than that. Really like the acid green though too.

  2. Atch2 says:

2 hot-blooded Armada men on court is good, no?

It’s looks crowded both in the stands and on court. I like seeing Papa Verdasco with Nando. And Cahill in town with Nando means serious business bec he’s a good guy to have in your camp.

    Luv the shirt change.

  3. Emma says:

    love the tight grey shorts!

    • CC says:

Yeah, those shorts are both tight AND short! It might just be me imagining things, but I’m sure I can see all sorts of thing bulging when he walks in them…

      *faints*

      • An says:

If it is youre imagination then my imagination makes my eyes see the same things as you…. but that comes as no surprise probably;)
Imagine iff he’s going to wear this shorts in a match, would make it very hard for us to concentrate on the tennis balls, No?

Love the colour festival going on here!

      • djb says:

Wow, I saw that too. I guess Rafa has no shame in showing his goods, lol. Never have I seen a player that causes more fans to burst with joy than Rafa. I’m sure he gets a kick out of “entertaining” his fans!

  4. CC says:

So, it looks like there will be some sort of live interview/chat with Rafa at 21:00 tonight in Spain.

    *rubs hands together in anticipation*

I wonder if you can ask your own questions?

    • An says:

You go and cover for me please CC and let me know all his awnsers pleaaaase, i don’t think i will be home by then jet…

I’ll trust you to come up whit the intresting questions but be sure to ask him about when we can take him shopping with being home alone with us afterwards, ok?

      • Susanna728 says:

Cc and An – Have been meaning to say that I love the stuff you post. You’re saying what a lot of the rest of us are thinking but are just too shy to write….

    • robert says:

Yes, tonight at 21.00 local time he’ll participate in the sports segment of the Telediario (main evening news on national TV).

Expect this to be a rather formal thing, with a lot of awkwardness and many lovely smiles to cover up confusion. If that motherly bespectacled lady is the sports anchor that day, she’ll boss him around and gush endlessly.

It’s all good for strengthening the character.

  5. Fay says:

Oh can’t wait to see that one! loving Rafa in that acid green! and a couple of shirt changes to boot, oh Rafa!!!
Interesting that Verdasco has Cahill on board, well it is his home tournament and he will want to make optimum effort, he obviously means business. Not sure if these courts suit Rafa’s game, they probably are alot faster and with the altitude I think it favours the big servers like Verdasco, Gulbis, Soderling, Isner of course even Federer said the same last year that it helped his serve, sorry to sound negative I
hope Rafa still can make a good dent in them all, it depends on the crazy bounce there etc… but hey if Rafa loves anything its a challenge, I remember him at Rotterdam last year he struggled badly because the court didn’t suit his game and after his exbiditions in A/O of course, but at least Uncle T is with him…good luck Rafa, stay strong and well above all!

  6. Wooffie says:

I think Rafa will be pretty pleased to date with his clay season so far, and is accepting of the differences that Madrid brings, so I don’t think it will be a major dent to him if he shouldn’t succeed. He will still go deep because, well … he’s Rafa. So he should at least be able to start Roland Garros in the kind of shape that he would like and with the confidence that winning those 2 tournies to date will bring.

  7. Atch2 says:

I looked up ‘guapo tio bueno’ in google and it came up ‘handsome hunk’.

    • Karen says:

Wish Rafa would practice in sleeveless tops so those lovely shoulders & guns were as brown as the rest of his perfect arms! I just have to keep looking back at photos from 2008 to remind myself that he still has the same gorgeous body under those t- shirts.

  8. Louisa says:

Personally I think Fer is trying to morph into Rafa. Now he lines up his bottles and at the end of todays match with Kohl he hit the ball and threw his wrist bands into the crowd JUST LIKE RAFA does!! Add to that the Madrid ad by his undi co. that describes him as shy (huh, Nando!?)and it’s just got me wondering. I like him and looking at him but the dude needs to get his own thing.JMO of course :)

    • wendya says:

I’ve been noticing for some time that other players seem to imitate Rafa. Delpo used to annoy me when he started wearing the same clothes as Rafa and then started to talk like him in interviews. I’ve noticed a number of players doing that, including Nando. No wonder Rafa ditched his old outfits when everyone else started wearing them! The good thing about Rafa’s dodgy shorts is that no-one will want to copy them, although I think Tomic was wearing Rafa’s top and shorts at the AO! I suppose that it’s not surprising that other players want to emulate Rafa though…he’s such a great role model.

  9. Louisa says:

Sorry match today was with Karlovic not Kolhschreiber. Up too early I think……..
