Del Po and mAuuray seems to be doing so much moving around, up and down, and Del Po’s not even playing.

Yes its strange Del Po has played like 18 tourney’s? when it seems like he has been out forever! Nice to see Rafa closer, looks like alot is riding on Madrid…

how many points did Rafa get from rome masters ? i didnt see any change so far !!
    can you please enlighten me

  4. aRafaelite says:

9 Spanish players in the Top 40… almost 25% of the world’s best 40 male tennis players… anyone else find that incredible?!

i still think it was the right decision but rafa would be no2 if he won barcelona..

The most important thing is that he not slip below #4 before the French Open draw. If Barcelona had tired him out so much that he couldn’t defend his points in Rome or Madrid, that was a real possibility.

i’d rather rafa stays in the 3rd position and gain titles than be number 2 or 1 like Nole or roger without getting any title and delivering a below average performance .
rafa now is number 3 , yet everybody is singing praises over him for his two big atp titles and for getting an inche close to break agassi’s record
        u see the difference !

I have no problem with #3 either. What I’m talking about is if he slips below 4, it has huge implications in the draw. You know how people were freaking about the possibility of him meeting Fed in a semifinal in Rome? How about if he had to go through Fed, Nole, etc in a quarterfinal? Yes, he can do it, but staying at 4 or higher helps take a little pressure off by making sure he doesn’t have to face the really big guns until the semis.

i see Miri ; but he’s the big gun now ! yaaaayye !
because he’s proved again that he is still the king of clay without any contender
but i admit that gulbis scares me ! he pressured nadal and had great chances to beat him

yeah i think it was the right decision, i also would like too see him skip madrid to be honest..
