And working on a blister?

Rafa, please stop fiddling with it as it will only make it worse!

    *I feel like his mum*

  2. Atch2 says:

Does Maymo use superglue to bandage Rafa’s fingers? Why are they so difficult to take off? His fingers are bright red. Poor fidgety Rafa.

    • miri says:

I think the red is from stuff they put on his hands before they put the band-aids on.

      • Atch2 says:

I thought Maymo put that smelly brown iodine solution on it.

        • miri says:

Yeah, I thought so too. Maybe they are trying something different? In some of the match photos, though, you can see the red, so his hands aren’t red from him trying to rub stuff off.

If you can drag your eyes away from the most eye-catching bits, you can see his knuckles are red in this photo and most of his fingers look red in this one too.

Urm…no, that red on Rafa’s hands is from our “use your hands body painting” class we took before the match. We only had time for Rafa painting me, though… ;)

          • Atch2 says:

WOW that first pic came up really big on my screen, and distracted me. Even with your warning it was difficult to drag my eyes from Rafa’s other bits and almost forgot what I was supposed to look at. But yeah it is already red. Maybe it is Maymo experimenting something new on Rafa.

Heyyy there’s cute Lion on the side of the chair! See miri I could take my eyes off the most eye-catching ;)

      • Fay says:

Yes, me too, I am glad you found it Miri, there was no replay today, it looks worse because of the spray prehaps, looks like he is just giving it some air here, letting it breath..

  3. CC says:

Is he talking to the blister? Asking it to go away, perhaps.

I’ve always found that plaster glue is a b-gger to get off.

  4. An says:

But this deffinitly looks like he has a blister on the left hand…. and the interview was talking about the right hand.

Aauuuuch, poor Rafa! No “use youre hand body painting any more!”;)

  5. Michelle says:

OUCH! I think the red is from Mercurochrome (not it’s brother ‘Iodine’ – which is brownish in color.) Why do I suspect this? Because my dad has applied that red stuff on my scraped knees and elbows and hands all too often when I was a little girl falling out of trees/monkey bars. The worst part is how it seems to get everywhere and it stains instantly. I always preferred it to Iodine because it doesn’t sting as badly. It sort of gently disinfects, and creates a smooth (unnoticeable) seal that helps the wound dry and heal.

HEheh, Rafa has this TennisTV ad on his site, and in the vid he points up and says “just click up”,you can see his red-stained hands. Yet another test for our Rafa to overcome. What a toughie. Vamos! :D
