They told me the update was almost done, so I’m testing a few things…

Can someone reply to this so I can see if I get the email notification of the reply?

Thanks!

  2. JulesDC says:

Now if you could just fix tennistv.com life would be great. Nice picture.

  3. Maru says:

well if you ask the favor with that pic, how could I refuse? ;)

  4. sunset says:

So this site is up and running again and better than ever. Wish the same thing happens to Rafa when he comes back.

  5. Diane says:

Good to be back!! And tq for the awesome pic!

  6. miri says:

Hmmm…the twitter feed doesn’t seem to be updating. Not a big deal, but I’m wondering why.

  7. Atch2 says:

Miri that was fast. Rafa’s official website seem to be takg forever with their construction.

Well that got my attention too, what a guy! Thanks Miri.

    My reply is definitely x-rated!

I think I could stare at that photo for hours. If not days.

    • miri says:

It does seem to be very popular…I mainly see all the technical mistakes I made when taking it. :(

      • Missy says:

        “Technical mistakes”

Like what? The fact that you were actually BEHIND the camera taking the photo as opposed to being IN the photo hugging his lusciousness?!

The fact that instead of being evidence for a harassment/sexual assault lawsuit, it’s instead a wonderful display of fan photography?

        Girl, you’re crazy. It’s a gwwwwaaaate phowto! :D

      • CC says:

The only thing that could make that photo better is if Rafa was shortless and underpantless. I guess that doesn’t count as a “technical mistake”, though.

Anyway, things are working just fine.

He’s not? Hmmm…When I look at it, he is.
          *makes appointment with optician*

          On second thought…
          *cancels appointment*

          Miri,
Sorry to hear you are having website troubles. But, GAH! That photo…*faints*

  13. sia says:

Miri, If only you could see it through our eyes ….
By the way a few weirdnesses today with the site, nothing completely off but once the tweets weren’t there and posting was a bit tricky. :)

    • miri says:

If you or anyone else encounters problem like this in the future, can you copy any error messages you might see and fill out the Contact form – please let me know what you where trying to do, the time, your time zone and the browser you use. I know that’s a lot of info to ask for, but it might help me track down any errors.

      Thanks!

just love this pic. thanks miri

  15. miri says:

I think I’ve now see the issue sia was referring to when posting a comment – instead of the post going through, I was asked to d/l a page. I’ve submitted a support ticket.

  16. Missy says:

Miri, I dunno if you read my messages about the problemo that I encountered. Just wanted to let you know that I’ve posted twice since then, and I haven’t gotten the error message.

….I guess this makes three messages! :)

  17. Missy says:

Miri, when I attempt to post I’m getting an error message (the same one I told you about in the contact form).

I then refresh the page, only to get a “duplicate comment” message. I click the back button on my browser, and my post is indeed posted. The comment box contains the very message I just finished typing.

Is it a problem on my end, or a result of your tweaking?

    • Missy says:

Even weirder, I noticed that I’m getting a “duplicate comment” message when posting a specific comment for the first time.

      • miri says:

when you get a blank page after posting, your comment most probably has posted. It’s just that after posting, it tries to redirect you back to the page and that’s where things are getting hung up. I’m seeing the problem too, but it’s intermittent and neither I nor the server people have been able to track it down yet.

I know it’s frustrating, but not much I can do now. Of course, maybe if you’d stop posting comments every 3 minutes, it might be less frustrating.

        • Missy says:

          LOL! touché Miri, touché.

This is the specific message I’m getting.

“Duplicate comment detected; it looks as though you’ve already said that!

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/rnnews/public_html/wp-content/plugins/twitter-tools/twitter-tools.php on line 744”

  18. miri says:

Well, things are getting even wackier. Now my admin interface isn’t working properly. They are talking about moving us to a new machine but I’m wondering why that would help since it wasn’t the machine that changed and the new one would have the same cpu power and memory. Weee! Technology’s a bitch some times.

    • miri says:

They have moved us to a new server – so cross your fingers that clears up the problems. Please email me or use the contact form if you keep experiencing hiccups. Server hiccups – I don’t care if you yourself are hiccuping. :D

      • miri says:

Bleah – the comment posting problem just happened to me. *sigh*

        • Missy says:

*nods* Yeah, it’s happened to me as well. It’s not really THAT big of a deal seeing as the comments aren’t getting eaten enroute to postage.

P.S. I love the “Bleah”. Snoopy absolutely rocks my socks.

          BLEEEEEEAAAHH!

  19. miri says:

Okay, another tweak has been made to the server. So, once again, if you have problems posting comments, please let me know. I appreciate your help and thanks for your patience.

  20. miri says:

Still happening and I’m getting VERY grumpy.

  21. miri says:

MySQL connections updated and a new accelerator/caching system installed….cross your fingers!

  22. An says:

Miri, in reaction to the poll….

I miss one option, the one i would have to choose.
I have no idea at all on this kind off things, a computer is a thing that just has to work, i have no idea wich version off IE runs on mine!:)

    • Atch2 says:

Miri pls add another option which means ‘IT Clueless’ for me. I usually learn somethg new after a problem pops up & i hve to fix it.

    • miri says:

To find what version you have, click on “Help > About IE” and you’ll get a little pop-up window letting you know. Or, you can wait until I upload the face-lift – if you suddenly have trouble reading the site, you’ll know you have IE6.
