Ahhh thanks miri … love the serving photos … was really missing those eyebrows. (At home with too much time on my hands … sick with a cold).

  2. lpauly says:

Thank you! It’s great to see Rafa has arrived on court!

  3. so exciting to see Rafa defend Australian open !!!

  4. Mimi says:

Awesome pictures, love his shirt and great to see him focussed. Go champ!

  5. Atch2 says:

Red Hot Rafa! with glowing, enviable skin again. Hope u’re coping well with the heat.

  6. sunset says:

Love the white bandana! Seeing the raspberry-bandana-going-with-orange-shirt outfit in Doha I was actually wondering what if he wears a white bandana instead. Simply stunning. Vamos Rafa, so good to see these pictures.

  7. Atch2 says:

Maymo is so multi talented. And is he not sweating in those track pants in this Mel heat?!

  8. CC says:

Yay! Love the serve photos as well, cute bendy fingers! And love the grey version of the new shoes.

BTW, how come Maymo’s in all black and long trousers in that heat?! Maybe he likes to suffer too, no?

    • mary says:

It was cooler. Infact my sis who lives just south of Melbourne was wearing track pants & a jumper yesterday. Like I said Melbourne & its 4 bloody seasons in one day

  9. arwen says:

loved the red-white combination.think it is better than the orange one.
I want to see Rafa in the final biting the second AO title trophy
like he did last year.but this time the crying man must be KOLYA.

  10. An says:

No munching huge chocolate muffins? Got the message Rafa!!
I’ll start packing… so you will have something to munch on;)

    Great pics:)

  11. Maria says:

love pics 4 and 9 seen side by side. gemini rafa!

    • Rafafan says:

Yeah can imagine it. Looks like he is having a sneaky peak at something or like – if no-one is looking gonna take those chockie muffins! without Tony seeing

  12. mary says:

Happy to see he is practicing on centre court. The red on him is scrumptious & he is edible, always. Yum, yum!!!

  13. dutchgirl says:

I’m sitting behind my desk at work, suffering from Rafa-withdrawl, and here are these georgious pics that come to my rescue!
I’ve installed #4 on my screen for today (it dissapears automatically in a few hours, I’m actually not allowed to do this).
So, when I’m having lack of inspiration I look at my screen en inspiration is back (not sure it’s the right kind of inspiration though… :))

    • Karen says:

Love all pics, but #1 is my favourite. It could be especially for Aussie Open. They could make it their logo. And those gorgeous brown arms and fingers!!! Oh Rafa!! Red Hot and rearing to go!!!

      • Maria says:

Yeah. You’re right. Haven’t noticed the resemblance between the logo and Rafa’s posture. Perfect match, except for the position of the racquet. Otherwise, just another case of reality better than its depiction.

      • jba says:

#1 is my favorite right after #6 :)

    • aRafaelite says:

Number 4 is just gorgeous – love the ¿Que? expression! One of my favourite Rafa pics in a while. BTW – the AO logo is a silhouette of Stefan Edberg, who I finally relinquished as my favourite player of all time only in favour of Rafa!

  14. MS says:

Is uncle Toni there??? I hope he’s there. I dunno but i’m more confident to see rafa play tennis when uncle toni’s around.

  15. faeaki7 says:

Love the red top and the white design shows of the definition of his torse. mmmmmmmm! I love pics 1,3,4,6 (that smile). and 9! 1 should definately be used somewhere special. Great to see him back practicing I expect Toni will be there in a few days! “Maymo! aren’t you hot?”

  16. Carol says:

    Rafa-in-red = beautiful.

So glad to see him safely there and looking good… Go get ’em Rafa!

    • CC says:

Hm, I’m not so keen on Rafa in red. I prefer him in more pink/blue colours. Don’t know why.

      • Rafangel says:

No, I agree CC. Not sure it really suits him (one of very few colours I’ve thought that about) – kind of clashes with his (ravishingly beautiful, yum) skin. This shade is better than other reds, though. Floved the orange in Doha, hope it comes back some time.

      • Rafangel says:

BTW your pic of Rafa is possibly my favourite of all time.

  17. Ch F says:

I love No1 it’s like he had been posing for the AO tournament, as Karen stated.

  18. fatos says:

here”s RAFA in all its splendour for our own sore eyes, enjoy.

  19. faeaki7 says:

ok the videos were the same folks, he just looks concentrated folks* until he plays its hard to tell. Also its really hot enough to make anyone grumpy, I have worked abroad in 45 degrees and its no joke! even if he comes from a hot climate its something you never get used to when its that hot.

  20. Rafafan says:

Love him in red (but more full blooded red to go with full blooded Rafa) and white. Put a bit of blue in it and we can adopt him in Britain where Rafa has the most amazing fans next to spain – colours of the British flag!!

We all love to watch everything about our dearest Rafa but has anyone noticed that his little finger is always bent. He has the most amazing hands and very very long fingers, which is slightly out of context with the rest of him but the finger is always bent. Have a close look when he is serving/bouncing the balls and note in pic 1.

Gosh the things we notice. Rafa obsessed indeed xx

  21. miri says:

Photos from the session on the AO site.

  22. Rafafan says:

    Miri – thanks Wowwwwww

No 6, gosh he looks so young. I am sure that boy/man ages by getting younger than olde! He looks about 16. No 8, love the tongue bit and the gorgeous smile in 9 a smach hit for the pc screener

  23. TennisNoob says:

    GREAT! Vamos Rafa!

Question: how many days EXACTLY is the Australian Open?
From first rounds to the finals?

  24. Mama Coco says:

Rafa’s freaky forehand, how do you learn that!!!
