  1. Debbie says:

Yeah! I just love his blog. Mind you, he never tells us anything deeper than what he had for lunch, or what time he practiced, but I still absolutely adore it. Thanks for the info Miri. *squeeeeeee*

  2. Kate says:

He told us on facebook too yesterday!

    • Sam says:

Oh don’t you just love it when you are perusing through your ‘newsfeed’ from all your friends, and in there amongst them all is one from Rafa…I get soooo excited, it makes me feel like he really is my friend…sad, but true!!!xx

      • Yaritza says:

I totally get you! It’s great reading his status update amongst the status updates from people you see every day. I even feel like I could pick up the phone and ring him (crazy, no?). But you don’t know, some day you might get a surprise from him like I did when he wrote back to me on my Birthday! Vamos!

  3. mary says:

Yep no ‘doobt’ about it, just flov Rafa’s daily bloggs. Looking forward to it. However, I am away for 2 days so I’ll probably miss some tennis. :(

  4. Atch2 says:

TimesOnline adore Rafa like we do. Benito is probably around too to help Rafa with his blogs/answers. Hope Rafa tels us abt his boat rides 2 the stadium, given his luv of water, as wel as other small details of his life. Hope Xisca & Rafa’s parents come too cos Rafa won monte carlo & AO when they did.

    • Debbie says:

Parents yes. Xisca…no. He has won exactly one tournament when she was at the final-Toronto 2008 when he was on fire.

I would love to see his mom and dad there. They haven’t been at a tournament for a while.

And where has Carlos Costa been? I kind of miss him.

      • Ch F says:

I hadn’t realised that! On the same note then, please no surprise Shakira visit either, that didn’t work very well either ;-)

        • Denizen says:

Neither Rafa’s mom nor X were at the AO, and none of them were there for the last few rounds of Monte Carlo. I totally agree with Debbie on this one.

Unfortunately, I don’t expect both of his parents to attend the same tournament any more, with the possible exception of Wimbledon. :(

I also miss Carlos Costa and wonder what he’s been up to.

        • Debbie says:

Yah. Shaki visits might not be good either. *winks* Although he is 2-0 with her there. :)

      • Phyzzie says:

Xisca was at Monte-Carlo in 2009 and he won that.

  5. Atch2 says:

& remember guys, try 2 ask 1 part questions cos Rafa doesn’t answer part 2.

  6. CC says:

Awww…bless his little cotton socks… I love him for doing the blog again.
Am I the only one who gets complete writer’s block and can’t think of anything to ask him though (apart from the things I know they wouldn’t let me ask)?!

    • An says:

      nope, happens all the time!

    • natch says:

I can’t think of a question I would WANT to ask that they wouldn’t let me ask. ;)

      • mary says:

I’ll try to think of something morally acceptable. But yeah CC it’s amazing how we can flow with our statements with one another on this site, but when it comes to thinking of a single question to ask him a brain freeze occurs. But I did manage to come with one at the US & he did answer it!!! :)

      • CC says:

        Exactly, natch. ;)

      • Rafangel says:

I have squillions of questions in my head and forget them all as soon as I hear he’s blogging again :-S

  7. johanne says:

OMG I love his silly blog. YAY!

  8. Jinx says:

    Rafa, you blog ho’! ;-)
I wish he would go more into what he does other than the match and dinner. He needs to spice it up .Talk about what you do in the shower, Rafael!Where your hands go to relax your muscles for the match the next day! I mean, he is obviously doing something entertaining if these people keep asking him to blog. They must know something we dont……;-) Well…maybe on tour he doesn’t do much. If we want a deep telling someone should approach him for a blog in summer……..;-)
    I have to think about a question……..

    • johanne says:

ROFL I like your shower question! ;)

      • Carol says:

Yeah, but that’s one he’d be *sure* to avoid with all his charming evasiveness! ;-)

I thinks he’s been quoted as saying (an article in the Times pre Wimby w/d rings a bell…) “I spend very little time in the bathroom” or something along those lines…

        • natch says:

“I thinks he’s been quoted as saying (an article in the Times pre Wimby w/d rings a bell…) “I spend very little time in the bathroom” or something along those lines…”

          Dear Rafa,

How would you like to spend about two hours with me in the bathroom? There’s a first time for everything!

          Love and other indoor sports,
          natch

          P.S. I won’t be gentle.

        • Rafangel says:

Euw he spends very little time in the bathroom? I wonder if a clothes peg would enhance one’s sexual pleasure?

          • mary says:

Rafangel, explicar por favor! A clothes peg, mmmmmmmmmmmm. Thats a new one on me!! I could think of many other delightful devices less likely to leave their indent. :)

            • Rafangel says:

Clothes peg on my nose (sorry) – if he doesn’t spend much time washing… Not at all a pretty thought. I’ll try to come up with a better one ;)

              • Sam says:

Oh now come on, we know how much he likes to wash….all those “just got out of the shower” images we see of him in his interviews……*sigh*

    • Debbie says:

      I like your thinking. ;-)

    • CC says:

“Talk about what you do in the shower, Rafael!Where your hands go to relax your muscles…”

Oh, hell yes, Rafael… Yum, YUM, Y-U-M…

  9. mary says:

We should be asking timesonline to do one of those follow the man for 24 hours, live, all inclusive. Every shot, every angle live & unedited. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, what a mouth watering, drooling, heart palpitations, eye delicacy idea!

    • An says:

Ah, since Natch sugested me as a cameraperson for the WTF i can do the docu “24 hours with Rafa” too, No?

      * back to sitting by the mailbox waiting for job confirmation letter*

      • Atch2 says:

An, pls show us the unedited, uncensored version.

        • mary says:

We’ll need someone to take notes. An audience to follow him around for moral & sexual support. Lighting crew for those hard to oggle spots, extra’s & someone to oversee & direct. Hey, I know the perfect team. NN team. Lets go girls. We can argue on the way who’s doing the makeup & especially the touch ups!!

      • natch says:

Oh, sorry, An. That’s my fault. WTF? called me as a job reference for you. They wanted to know if you could properly light the “hard to ogle” spots, and I wasn’t sure if you could or not. You know, with your hands being full of Rafaflesh and all. I see Mary is going to help you out, so…
        *calls WTF? back*
*gives An and Mary glowing praise*
*waits for “WTF? 24 Hours With Rafa” to air*

        • An says:

          O: Thank you!!

          * starts packing camera’s *

          I’ll make it worth while;)

          • mary says:

Starts packing! Creams, oils, lubricants (makeup darlings & aromatherapy oils for scene settings). :) :) :)

            • CC says:

              “Creams, oils, lubricants…”

I wouldn’t need any of that with Rafa, especially not the last one on that list… ;)

              • An says:

Me neither, you can unpack that Mary! ;)

                • mary says:

Removes lubricants from bag, adds oil of ylang ylang instead = Sensual oil!!
Hmmmmmmmmm, satisfied, well hopes to be! :) ;) ;)

                  • CC says:

I’d prefer him au naturale, mary. In all senses of that expression.

                    • mary says:

Oh the ylang ylang is not for him, but for me. I want that just showered & dripping wet bod in the all naturale to smell my sensual oil. :)
Oh btw, everytime I look at your gravator I just wanna jump through the screen. I wonder what was going through his head at the time? Ah yeah, thats right, the thought of him standing there all naturale dripping with water smelling my sensual oil. *feeling light headed & very warm right now*

  10. Sam says:

Would it be showing off if I told you all that Rafa has answered SEVEN of my questions?? I am going for a straight record 8th title, I mean question, and plan to be the G.O.A.T of the Rafablog questions ;-)

    Good luck everyone!! :-)

    • mary says:

Cool, go for it! Let us know if you get to number 8 & what the question was. I’ll probably still be trying for no. 2. Oh well!!

      • An says:

        Sam,

Tell us youre secrect, how do you do it? He still has to awnser my first ( at least he has to do writing, always awnsers evry question i have for him in my head, right away;) )

        • Sam says:

I don’t know to be honest. I do try and think of something original. The last question I asked him (at USO) was about his memory; I told him I was amazed when he remembered specific points and the scoreline during those points when he was talking in interview, and asked him if he had a good memory in general or only for tennis. He did say he had a good memory in general, so when I meet him in Monte Carlo (ever the optimist that I am! lol) I will ask him if he REMEMBERS my question!! ;-)

Every now and again a question I would like to ask him pops into my head, so (instead of asking him in my head…An!) I write it down, and next time he is blogging I ask it. I tend to send about half a dozen questions with each blog, and usually one (sometimes two) gets lucky. You have to be persistant and send one daily.
There, those are my tips! Good luck guys!!! :-)

          • Sam says:

Oh, and in case you were wondering, other topics I have asked him about were playing tennis with his right hand, speaking with Richard Gasquet, was he ever in trouble at school, what he plans to do when he retires, what he would have done had he not been a tennis player (I suggested a fisherman, but he preferred footballer..lol)…that’s almost all of them…that I can remember anyway.
The best one (in my opinion) was at AO this year when I asked about if he was ever in trouble at school and he said he once got an ‘insufficient’ in PE and that someone ought to speak to that teacher now….the next day it had disappeared from the blog! I like to think that Uncle T gave him a bashing for being arrogant and requested it be removed…I just love the thought of Rafa and Toni having a row because of me…little old me!!! LOL

          • CC says:

If I made a note of the questions I wanted to ask Rafael (I shall call him that from now on :)), and somebody found those notes I would definitely have a restraining order in the post the next day… ;)

  11. emir says:

i hope people will not ask the same qustions again again WE WONT I KNOW……the kind of qustions what is your favaurite movie calaur when did you become lefy kind of questions……

  12. sia says:

He has answered me a couple of times … but I ask really dumb questions like “do you wear sunscreen”?
For some reason I’m finding this outrageously funny right now … his witty reply … “not usually”.

  13. mary says:

I’d still like Rafa to answer my question, which btw, was quite an intelligent one. “I see you as perfect, but is there something about you that you would like to change?” Deep question really!! He replied “yes there is, but I’m not telling you”. Now isn’t he a Cheeky shit!

    • Sam says:

      The length of his…urm….racquet? ;-)

      • sia says:

        Oooh Sam … saucy!

      • CC says:

I’m tempted to say that I’m perhaps more interested in the width of the…urm…grip. ;)

        • Sam says:

          Every girl has their preference!
Personally I think its how a man USES his racquet that counts….and we all know Rafa does that exceptionally well….forehand, backhand….working his way into the game slowly, he does like to play those epic marathons doesn’t he……OH GOD!!!!

          ;-)

        • natch says:

Oh, CC. A girl after my own heart! Width is almost everything, isn’t it? ;)

Here’s a question you might be able to get away with:

          Dear Rafa,

          Hare, Bull, or Horse?

If he answers, then we know he’s familiar with the Kama Sutra. :D

          • Sam says:

He will say ‘bull’ even though he has no idea what the hell you are on about (which btw, neither do I!)…would that be a good thing? ;-)

          • CC says:

            *quickly types question to timesonline*

            Consider it done, natch.

BTW, I have no idea what you’re talking about either.

            *blinks innocently*

            • natch says:

Thanks, CC. For the submission. Erm, of the question.

“I have no idea what you’re talking about either.”
ROFL! Like Hell you don’t. ;)

              Sam,
Bull is good if you are a Mare. The Kama Sutra has some pretty strict rules, but at the same time, it also has some gray areas of interpretation, so your question (would that be a good thing) is actually hard to answer! I think I’ll leave it at that because I don’t know how graphic Miri wants her website to be.

              • An says:

Oh hell girls…. I’m away for one and a half hour training, returning home pretty exhausted and now you made sure that its followed by a night filled with restless Rafa dreams….

Lenght or width, Hare, Bull or Horse?
Naughty Rafa with “come to bed” face…

                TO.MUCH!
                for an innocent girl….

              • Sam says:

Well I am still none the wiser…will just have to get a copy of the book, and whilst I am at it I will buy one for Rafa too ;-)

                • natch says:

It’s kind of like T-shirt sizes. Small, Medium, Large…etc. But it’s up to you to interpret what “good” means. ;)

              • CC says:

Oh, anything for you and Rafa, natch. You know that. ;)

                • mary says:

Oh you lot crack me up. I’m away in lala land dreaming of the man, & you guys are talking thickness, length & I’ll add firmness(well thats close to grip). Gosh I miss all the action. Keep it up! (oops) :)

                • natch says:

Well, then my final request is if he likes cinnamon oil. If he does, the hell with his age, say hello to Mrs. Robinson! ;)

                  Natch: *puts leg up seductively*
Rafa: *swallows hard* Are you trying to seduce me, Ms. Natch?
                  Natch: *pounces*
                  End Scene.

                  • CC says:

Cinnamon oil? I know about that one…

                    *winks*

My mother-in-law(-to-be-one-day-maybe) is an aromatherapist. Very handy. ;)

                    • natch says:

I don’t use it for aromatherapy, although I know what it does. Winky, winky.

Tell you what, CC. Go get yourself a bottle from your MIL (or reasonable facsimile :D) and put one drop on your tongue. Get Cinnamon Cassia. Then tell me what happens. If you can handle it – the oil, I’ll tell you where else on a body it comes in handy. ;)
