    Already bought one! Woohoo!

Also, the prints I ordered arrived today! They’re gorgeous :) Must find frames for them to keep them flat…

Hat also available thru Rafa’s website/pro shop.

Yep, that’s where I got the link to Tennis Warehouse from. I kept the referral code in it in case he gets any $ off of it. Not that he needs any more. :)

Have bought one, but baseball caps really don’t suit me, so might see if I can get Rafa to sign it in London!

  4. Atch2 says:

Thanks Miri for the update. I was looking for it before I went to bed last night and nothing.

Gonna get 1 and give it to my Dad coz caps don’t suit me either. He’ll represent the older Rafanatic demographic.

And how come Rafa’s cap is limited edition and only avail in 1 option. ‘RF’ has about 11 cap options. Can’t believe Nike don’t think Rafa’s cap may not be popular.

I actually think they’re just trying to get the demand up for Rafa’s cap by making it a limited edition for now. Once everyone who thought about it goes back to the sites and finds they can’t get it, it’s going to make them want it more. I mean, surely it would cost them next to nothing to make them by the truckloads, rather than make just a few pieces. So they’ve probably got more up their sleeves, and will eventually release many different colours soon. Btw I think they did the same thing with Fed’s cap, he wore it around for quite a while and gave it a lot of press time, and then finally when people were just salivating to have one, then they released it for sale.

I tryed to order one trough tennis warehouse and the site was already telling that it was out off stock… Booooooh:( Waiterd for months for Rafa’s cap to come on sale and now i may already be to late??? Still placed an order and hope there will be more available off course but does anyone know if there are european website who sell the cap too?

    • Emma says:

It just told me that they were back in stock 5th November, so hopefully it won’t be too long a wait:)

Can’t believe the amount of money I spend on tennis merchandise sent from far flung places! The postage ends up being more than the damn item – this hat is costing $52 (whatever that is in pounds these days). I have an obsession with tournament towels as well. Girding my loins for the Aussie Open one as the postage fees will no doubt have me whimpering.

Wanted this hat forever and ever so it will be worth it.

      • nic says:

Tell me about it! Postage is a major killer with the two sites above when you’re buying from outside the US. Too ouch for me to fork out :( I’d so love to get the hat, but I don’t ever wear caps, so this is one Rafa item I will actually forgo. Although I do love the fact that they’re finally selling it.

        • Zoe says:

Totally just forced my dad to purchase the cap cause he can ship it more cheaply to the states than I can get it in Australia!! Thanks Dad!! :)
I agree postage can be a killer though… Luckily the AO shop is local for me so that’s better than nothing!

          • Atch2 says:

I just checked the shipping rates and to get a trackable shipping service is going to cost me btw $33-40. The cap is only $22.
But I wrote to Nike Aus to ask if it will be avail in stores and at the Aussie Open, so hopefully they will be.

Tennis Warehouse does have a European store, but I don’t see the Rafa-hat on their hat page. Maybe you can contact them at and ask about it: contact@tenniswarehouse-europe.com

    • An says:

Thanks Miri, i’ll wait iff they confirm my order… And otherwise i’ll try to contact the european store… I so want the hat!!

  7. Carol says:

I don’t normally stand on a soap-box and don’t want to sound like a sanctimonious wet blanket here, but I’d like to know if they’re being made ethically (ie no sweat-shop kids or excessively long work hours)?

It’s just that Nike (in the past at least) have not has the best of reputations for this.

With the work being done by Rafa’s foundation, I hope he would be seriously unhappy if child or poorly controlled labour was being used to make these.

    Grump over.

    • miri says:

They probably aren’t made any differently than the rest of Nike’s stuff. As far as I can tell, the hats (and the rest of his Nike line) have nothing to do with Rafa’s foundation.

  8. Atch2 says:

For the Aussie Rafanatics, a reply fm Nike Aus:

“The Nike Rafa Bull Feather Light Hat has not been released in Australia we can not advise if it will be sold at the Australian Open as we do not have a release date”
