Airport excitement

Okay, before you get too worked up, there’s nothing exciting about this video. I just had to title it something. And I hope to goodness that you guys have better things to do on a Friday night than to watch something this boring (unlike me), but as johanne said when she tweeted it: “Once again, I’ll watch anything. *hopeless Rafanatic*”

      • Eliana says:

I’ll join you girls…Nothing happens in the video and I still feel that I didn’t wasted my time. Ha! I feel like a stalker watching that vid :)

Same here, I watch anything with Rafa in it. And though there isn’t mucht excitement, seeing Rafa is warming on this grey an windy saturday afternoon.

    • Atch2 says:

Anything with Rafa, I watch, I look at. Unfortunately I double standard as well and look at non-pap and pap stuff. Wish I had more self-resistence to pap stuff. Can’t get enough of Rafa. And he plays with his hair more often probably bec he is still getting use to it.

He seems to be the only 1 with a trail of fans following him.

Where are the rest of his posse? Roig? Maymo? Where r u?

Well, I just watched the video twice, the second time trying to hear if anyone said anything noteworthy – nope.

To start, I think the girls make a comment about Rafa’s hair in the beginning (it was cut off and garbled, so I couldn’t hear the adj describing “hair”.) More mumbling by one girl to the other, telling her to be careful not to lean on the handrail. Then, when the second girl got her picture with Rafa, the two girls taping squealed, I want one too, and we cut to the walking part.

Not eventful indeed, but Rafa time anyway :D

    Yay, Friday nights…

A video that exactly corresponds to all the photos we’ve seen so far! Awesome!

  4. Beau says:

LOL I felt like I was watching “Rafa in the wild”… and how cute was he playing with his hair! <3

We need some whispering commentary by Sir David Attenborough.

“Notice the effect the preening young male athlete has on the gathered females of the species. They attempt to touch him and make noises to get his attention in hope of attaining a fruitful coupling.”

      • kid says:

Haha! I can already imagine it! Nice one!

      • Courtney says:

Hahahahahaha. That just made my night.

      • Zoe says:

Aww so sweet to see Rafa grooming himself… Would love to hear David whispering about it, I think there’s a great new concept for a TV show here! I image there would be plenty to say about Rafa in the wild as well as in captivity lol. If he’s tired after a long flight, I totally volunteer to finger comb his hair ;)

        • CC says:

I’m not keen on nature programmes, nor on David Attenborough, but with Rafa…I suppose I’d watch it. ;)

      • aRafaelite says:

There are only two types of men I crush on hopelessly… tennis players and wildlife film-makers! The mere thought of combining Rafa with David Attenborough has me almost passing out!

      • dutchgirl says:

        Yes, that would be hilarious!

      • mary says:

I was thinking pink flamingos. All those legs intertwining. Bugger ya Sir Attenborough. *OOps did again* ;-)

        HAHA, fantastic Miri! Hysterical!

However, Steve Irwin was/is my main man when it comes to nature shows (also a fan of Jeff Corwin). I can just imagine him letting out a gleeful ‘CRIKEY!’ as he describes Rafa’s actions and the reactions of the ‘females’! :D

        (may he rest in peace)

there is nothing, and i mean nothing, boring about Rafa, i watch just about anything and everything about him
thank u for posting this video
    VAMOS!!!

  6. Nic says:

Hahahaha omg I couldn’t stop giggling when rafa was playing with his hair for what seemed like forever! Hahaha so cute. He’s really getting used to it falling over his face now cos he used to tuck it behind his ears. Geez that looked like the most uncomfortably long ride on the escalator. Rafa staring around, awkward silence, then girls asking him for pics and squealing. Hahaha. Oh sweet rafa. Can’t wait to see ur first match!

  7. CC says:

Looove watching Rafa doing nothing. The fiddling with the hair is so cute and so is he when he does his “oh, I’ll look up in the ceiling”. How could it ever be boring to watch Rafa?!

    • Mim says:

cc, as you so often do, you hit the nail on the head.

Rafa is so FELINE in that clip. Absolutely purrrrfect! :3

      Adorable.

Also, I don’t know why, but I began to chuckle hysterically when I saw Robredo and Karlovic…Maybe it was a kind of cruel satisfaction at their lack of star quality, fan attention and indescribable, not easily attainable awesomeness. Maybe it was the extra glee at watching Rafa tending to a crowd of fans right behind an ignored Dr. Ivo. Or maybe it’s because I always feel extra happy when I see people love and appreciate Rafa like he oh-so deserves to be.

Either way, Rafa can’t be boring if he TRIED. A clip of Rafa SLEEPING wouldn’t be boring.

Rafa couldn’t be boring if he dressed in all black in a dark room with a ski-mask…

Thankies for sharing Johanne! And thanks for uploading Miri!

  8. Carol says:

Having been Rafaless over the summer – I think we all love *anything* to do with him.

I think I’m not alone when I admit that I can sit and look at him on and off-court (for that read, dream, admire and frankly drool) for hours… :-)
BTW: another lovely Hugo Boss shirt that shows off those broad shoulders… Yummm…(Then thinks about my fingers playing with his hair, leaving *his* hands free to…I’m off to Rafaland again)

    • CC says:

Oh, hell yeah, Carol… I’d so play with his hair whilst his hands go…wherever they want. I’d also be quite happy to let my hands sneak underneath that cute top of his and stroke what’s underneath. That’s one of my favourite pastimes and to do that to Rafa would be…yum. ;)

      *joins Carol in Rafaland*

  9. allyS says:

haha u were rite its very boring. thanks for the warning i refused to believe anything with rafa could be boring but i was wrong.lol

  10. Atch2 says:

How long is that escalator? He was on it for at least 1 min of what we saw.

If Rafa was to get a crazy fan coming on court to kiss him again in Beijing, it would definitely be a female this time. They seem to luv him to bits.

  11. faeaki 7 says:

Hahahahahahahahahaa this is f*****g hilarious, he looks soo uncomfortable, hence the twiddling of his hair and interest of the framework? above him! But I can assure you its still nice watching Rafa, and those girls cannot contain themselves! but to tell you the truth being next to Rafa on an escalator, mmm okay by me!
