I hear ya. Hugs for all of us, and most especially for Rafa. I will say, that DelPo behaved very nicely after the match, and if Nole can’t get it done, I’m going to wholeheartedly root for DelPo. Yes, I am.

Is Rafa the only match loser they interviewed? It was nice he stopped.

The crowd luv and appreciate Rafa. Good for them. He deserves every applause.

    • Clare says:

Yeah most of them don’t stop, nor do they have to, but it’s this attitude that really sets Rafa apart from others on the tour.

He continually makes me extremely proud of him and makes me cheer even louder for him into the future!!!

  8. faeaki 7 says:

Yes they don’t usually interview the loser and Rafa was gracious as always, god bless you Rafa and get well sweetie*xxx

    rafa signing autographs…NICEST GUY EVER

    • Atch2 says:

And while carrying 2 BIG bags. U r consistently a good role model.

    • Clare says:

I noticed that Caroline Wozniacki signed autographs after her loss in the ladies final as well. She was also massively gracious and deserves to be commended (as well as how Kim handled the win), on how she handled the loss, which still would have been hard.

Maybe there are still some fair sports out there? With darling Rafa being the best of the bunch!!!

I’m watching the end of that match again and although Rafa was nice enough to stop for the on-court interview, I don’t think they should’ve asked that of him. He must have felt just awful and he packed so quickly so u know he wanted to get off that court asap. Did they do that to Nole after his semi?

The crowd noise was just as big for Rafa as it was for Del Po. That makes me smile.

    • Carol says:

“I don’t think they should’ve asked that of him”.

I agree. I think just for a fleeting second, there was a “please noo” look on his face, but he had the politeness to talk to Pammy. That’s our mannerly Rafa – the best role model there could ever be IMHO.

And in so much pain, as he must have been, he still carried his bags.

      • Kalliopeia says:

Well he’d have had to push her out of the way not to. She practically tackled him. I cannot stand Pam Shriver.
