Rafa’s back is outta control. I’ve really noticed it since Montreal – you can even see his muscles through his shirts! I know this is nothing new…I’ve just really taken notice recently. Dang. ;)

But seriously Rafa shouldn’t be going shirtless like then in such proximity to any female. He does it unconsciously and so casually, without thinking anything of it.
How does Ana keep her concentration and her eyes from wandering? It must be overwhelming to have a shirtless Rafa in front of you. But cute she’s talking to Rafa and Uncle Toni.

Yeah I’ll take the Rafa back view, and what a back he has, what a physique Rafa, never disappoints in that department.. Looks like Anna is having a conversation with Rafa not the other way round.. hee hee.
I know that Ana is beautiful and a sweetheart, but I just don’t understand how anyone could assume there was any interest between them. Rafi is a classy guy, has been with Xicsa for what, four years, and just look at them together. She’s utterly feminine and petite and he’s the most masculine man on the planet. Ana is clearly a pal, but I guess we should expect that the press will try to dig something up because they are so incapable of thinking up new questions for him that will interest him enough to answer without complete boredom. He has such patience with these goobers.
Hey, hope you’re not suggesting Ana has no class! She is an incredibly intelligent young lady who is also attending university. I know nothing about xisca, but I do know somethings about Ana. She is a friend of Rafa’s thats it. I think everyone is jealous cause 2 beautiful people are talking. God get a life!

Oh I love Ana too! Having lived four years in the former Yugoslavia I’m a fan of all the Serbs, to tell you the truth. I’m just sick of the press trying to dig up something out of nothing. I’m sure that Rafa and Ana are friends. They became friendly, I believe, when they were both playing at Indian Wells last year, and Rafa was flown by private jet to Miami for a special Nike event and he heard that Ana and her team were having a problem getting a flight, so he asked permission of the Nike folks to invite Ana and her team to join his team on the jet (isn’t it just like him to ask permission…cutie.). I think that Ana is a sweetheart and full of class; I just meant that I think that Rafi has more class than to play games with any woman’s heart and I believe that he really loves his Xicsa.
A yr or 2 ago Rafa took Ana around Mallorca bec she wanted to buy a house there. They did the golf promo thing at Miami this yr. They’re 2 good looking people and would probably make a cute looking couple, but they’re just friends that meet often on tour, and they have their own partners. It’s cute that the men and women players interact and do promos when they are at the same tournaments, e.g., Arthur Ashe Kid’s Day.

Yeah I watched that match & got to work very late, I mean very late! My son was devestated, he flovs her, isn’t that soooo sweet. Agree with you Atch2 sick & f****g tired of the knockers. My son who is studying sports psychology stated that bec Bondarenko’s leg problem it actually gave her extra adrenalin. If you watched the game you would have noticed Bondarenko played some almost unearthly shots. Thats the extra adrenilan.
As far as I know of people who live in Mallorca, Ana and Rafa are almost neighbors and friends but knowing a little about Rafa’s character … I don’t have clear that this two now or ever they would have a romantic relationship. First, because as someone here actually says, Rafa is quite conservative in their habits, because he has been educated to think that fame is fleeting and that what we should do is keep our feet on the ground and so .. not top models or actresses, a girl from his village but that also she is studying business in University and she could later be incorporated into the business / company that is Rafael Nadal .. because he has so much money and it’s sure that he will always need someone you trust to take you on economic issues … but if it is true that Anna seems more interested in Rafa in reverse .. (images)or maybe for the changed of T-shirt (OMG!). Neither is very clear why Ana lives in Mallorca. It is indeed a beautiful island but I’m not sure that this island is the world’s best place for an elite tennis player unless that this player be Rafa. And.. others greats sportsman very known and that are mallorcan … Rudy Fernández.. now on NBA on Blazers team and Jorge Lorenzo.. second on the motocyclisme world championship and that won on Indianapolis the last sunday. The three..were companion of school. Curious?…
I can imagine Xisca, with her Business Degree becoming involved in the Fundacion. From what little I have seen of her (although it is only from the media), she seems to be sensible and as genuine as Rafa.

It IS curious– one might guess that Ana is indeed interested in Rafa, though he is unavailable. I thought as much when it seemed she briefly befriended Verdasco on the rebound. More recently she has said she is studying to become fluent in Spanish– but to move to Spain before knowing how to speak the language? I’m with you, Ana, it’s puzzling.
No, Mary, I assure you, any country in Europe (exception of Suisse) is much more expensive that the country of Ana Ivanovic on the tax .. The Balearic Islands are not a tax haven, far from it … Do you know how much pay Rafa Nadal of taxes right now? approximately 60% of what he win. And yes there are many others important Spaniards sportsman worldwide who reside in other countries. Fernando Alonso (Formula 1) in Switzerland. Carlos Moya (Switzerland), Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa (motorcycling, first and third of world) in London .. and many others. That’s another thing we are grateful the Spanish to Rafa .. while other athletes “are living out of Spain for taxes”, he pays all that he must paid to the Spanish Treasury. But believe me .. Mary that this is an expensive country in taxes. I think more than on USA and Australia.
60% ouch! 40% is top rate in UK for people earning more than about £35,000 (about 40,000 Euros). Plus we don’t know what he donates to charities besides his Fundacion.
This is just another example of how grounded Rafa is and another reason to admire and love him.

WTF. That is ridiculous. 60%, god his must be playing for the love of the game if thats the case. Do you think maybe he has found a way round this legally. Spain authorities should be ashamed of themselves. In the end they will lose him if they don’t make allowances. He is the best international ambassador Spains got. He is probably responsible for growth in tourism. It is very sad indeed.
That’s why he’s the face of Baleric Islands tourism. But, Mary, I don’t think he’s the sort of guy to try and avoid his tax responsibilities, apart from legal tax breaks of course.
Remember Steffi Graf’s Dad… he ended up in stir over tax evasion from Steffi’s tax.
Carol, and it’s because this issue of the tax in UK (40% against 60% in Spain), many of our best athletes has their residence on London.
I think they are both nice people and I don’t get the hype either.
