It’s nice to see him in motion…

So the smile from that photo at the end of the match was for the ball girl, sweet!

Great to see Rafa back in competition again but that last lunge for the ball doesn’t seem to have the same springy body movement.
And that smile is to die for.

Hello all, last night quite late, the Cadena Ser radio has called to Toni Nadal and did him an extensive interview. Toni said that although the decision would be taken on Friday .. Rafael has played with pain, I could not bend the knees and is unable to play at one minimum level to win Wimbledon. Anyway, today will be the official communication. Here, we Rafa fans are a bit pessimistic at the moment. Sorry, I am very sad.

Me too! this is such a bad time, I was so excited on seeing Rafa @ wimbledon this year, just a couple of days ago I was saying that Rafa is just an hour away and how nice it feels… All I can say I hope that both him and his team learn from this and tourney’s like Rotterdam post Australia will be dropped and a more constructed clay season put in order. I had to say that I was worried watching him this year on the clay, he never looked as confident as he had been in Australia and Indian wells and I kept feeling that the most important time of the year for Rafa and usually his most successful RG and Wimbledon would be a problem, they cannot let this happen to Rafa again and Rafa needs to listen to reason, we love his desire but we also love him fit on court not struggling, its too painful and heartbraking to watch! Tennis world without Rafa sucks it really does and any real tennis fan would agree that without him it just ain’t as exciting!!! God I’m upset, how Rafa must feel?

I’m feeling sad all day, because today is the day we will know if Rafa will be playing on monday. But I will be sad either way – sad if he decides to play, because I doubt it’s wise at this time and who knows what the consequences would be, and sad if he doesn’t because I will miss him so much the next 2 weeks.

      *sigh*

I feel completly the same… And they tell us here in the Netherlands on the radio that this is supposed to be the happiest day of the year. No way! Not this year.

I can’t wait for that press conference and to finally know what it will be!

Miri, I found this interview. I don’t know the translation though, but perhaps someone can help with it. It’s so sad about RAFA and his knees. I can’t imagine how he must feel, but hope he gets well and can come back and play soon after he rests.
