The seeds have been announced and Rafa’s at the top of the list.

Also, the As it happened entry on the Wimbly site for today has this bit:

Here’s our first post from the practice courts

It’s another sunny morning here in SW19 and the players are rolling in thick and first for early morning practice sessions. While Rafa insists he is not superstitious, the Spaniard was hitting on the same court he trained on yesterday. Meanwhile, his uncle Toni appeared somewhat preoccupied with the height of the net. Not only did Rafa’s coach re-measure it, he then set about checking out the height of the net-measuring stick with a tennis racket. Meanwhile, Australian Lleyton Hewitt was on the Aorangi Park players’ balcony doing a spot of babysitting before his first practice session.

Toni’s always worried about things measuring up.

It puts a smile on my face to see Rafa on that lush green grass.

But Rafa pls play Wimby if your body can do it comfortably and with no risk to your future.

Tennis gods, pls pls put Murray and Soderling in Fed’s half.

I so agree. Lovely to see Rafa back on a court, and it’s grass. He’s looking fine as ever. Sigh.

I only wish that Rafa will wear his taping below the knees like before because they are a precaution if his tendinitis flares up again. He has not been doing so in these photos. Please Rafa, take precaution.

But his current problem isn’t below the knees, it’s above – remember the taping he got in the Madrid semi? Taping above is even less effective than the below the knees one.

He is very young and sure he will be recovered or nearly so. It’s very exciting after all the suffering that Rafael is back on the track and at Wimbledon, a magical place for tennis!

Luv how Rafa and the other guys are getting into the Wimby spirit by even practicing in white.

And great matchup for the Exhibition match with Hewitt. I know they like and respect each other so it will be cometitive and fun for Rafa.
