Agh! Just when I was getting used to the shorter layered look! Oh well. Love his legs in #2 and the little pants bulge going on in #5. ;)

In the 4th photo, from the side, hair lots quite short in back. Is it an optical illusion??? Good thing about hair, it grows back. New look for upcoming French perhaps.

Ooh, whatsit look like without the headband, I wonder? I am strangely intrigued by Rafa with this haircut.

I don’t mind Rafa with short hair, long or short it suits him. Plus those thinning locks wont be with him forever.

Pic #4 is the worst profile shot of Rafa in the history. It’s utterly indefensible. The terry headband makes his haircut look like he caught Edward Scissorhands in a foul mood.
Even weirder, I actually like the outfit – very comfy Adidas-like solids, nice color combo, and it actually fits. (But check out the polo neck tan.) Love the shorts too. Of course, this endorsement means it will never be seen again.
Am I a weirdo, or what’s wrong with me?! I love it that he’s cut his hair, was secretly hoping for a little chop. It looks a bit funny with headband, but boy is he always beautiful anyway!
I’m with you in that I don’t get the drama over it. Now that I’m old, I’ve had pretty much the same hair cut for years, but in my 20s? Hell, I had a mohawk, bleach blonde bangs down to my chin and a blonde tail, a black bowl cut, a buzz cut with shapes cut into it, a…well, you get the idea. I dyed my hair three times in one day! It was a wonderful multi-colored festival – bleach blond roots, a band of red and then a half inch of black to finish it off.
It’s hair. It will grow back (well, most if it – heh).
Ha, yeah, I know about the experimenting with hair cuts.
*shudders at thought of own past haircuts*
Anyway, I think Rafa looks great whatever, heck, he’d look great in short hair, I’m sure!
And what I love most about Rafa is that he doesn’t seem too aware of what looks good and doesn’t, which I find loads more attractive than for example Verdasco’s “I always do my best to look hot” attitude. Nothing wrong with it, I just don’t find it…hot.
I think I’ll get used to this shorter hair (or hope so…). It was a bit of a shock at first, but then I realized that I did have to get used to his present outfit as well, and am now loving it.
We can’t expect him to never change!
Oh no is so short!!! Rafa looks like a baby! Still gorgeous as heck, but so looks like when he first burst onto the scene. Hehe, bit too adorable. Kinda don’t recognise him in these shots. I hope he hasn’t changed his on-court headband to this terry-cloth one. I love Rafa’s headband with the “cheeky knot” (as described by the NY Mag article I think). This one’s just too 1980s! I know it’s not the end of the world, but I do so love him in his current style hope he doesn’t change that little finishing touch.
Ick. I don’t like it because it looks like he’s trying to be more traditional, more corporate, more marketable to a higher clientele. Same with his clothes. I mean he’s only 22! It’s not like he is 35 or 40 and needs to stop looking like a young rebel. Oh well. He’s still hot:)
Yup. It’s the James Blake-style headband. Oy gevalt. I know he’s been having trouble with the one previous, but here’s hoping this isn’t the answer. Maybe he’s just trying some options. *fingers crossed*
I’m crossing my fingers with you. Hoping he wears this headband only for practice (he never wears a cap in matches either) and he will stick to the old one ‘for real’.
I wish Rafa would stop wearing the SAME horrible outfit to the last few tournaments. Aside from the yellow/mint green polo shirt being gross, to have to keep looking at it over and over and over IS BORING!! How about something different???
I prefer him with no sleeves shirts.
