He sounds so relaxed. Must be ominous indeed for his waiting rivals in Rome.

Yes he’s probably on a high now, he loves to win in barcelona, will probably do “one match at a time” when he gets to Rome and its back to business as usual.

You pegged it faecoleman, from the interview on the Rome tourney site:
“When asked about the problem of having another surging Spaniard, Fernando Verdasco, in his quarter of the draw, Nadal refused to be drawn into any predictions. “I don’t know if we are going to be in the quarter-finals. Seppi – I’m looking there. I don’t know if Verdasco looks to the quarterfinals but, me, I look at the first round.”

BTW, I like the “as it happens” commentator they have for the site. Nice breezy style, and one way to keep track of the myriad simultaneous matches.

yeah rafa looks so calm and relaxed. wonder what he was looking at while being interviewed. i like that this time the official atp interview was outside and not in the studio. but imagine how long they must keep him on court doing a gazillion interviews, there was practically no one left in the stands! sometimes i think rafa must be so sick of the same questions over and over again. but yet he tries to put on a smile each time. what a sweetheart.
