That lady at 2:45 is getting right in there, not wasting her chance with Rafa.

I noticed that, too. Can you blame her?

I love the music at 8:30. Never heard that version before.

All in all, it looks like a lot more work than fun.

I finally got to watch this whole thing (couldn’t get all the way through it at lunch as I was running out of time).

Filming commercials (or anything) is boring – lots of standing around and waiting. Things I don’t think Rafa excels at or is happy about (unless he has a fishing pole in his hands).

He doesn’t look all that happy about the makeup bit either – resigned, but it’s obviously not his favorite thing.

At least they showed a few really good laugh fests.

In the last part, when he is in the make up chair, he is asked where is the strangest place he has signed an autograph. Rafa says that once two policemen stopped him in the middle of the street and he was scared, but they just wanted an autograph. So funny…

Rafa’s cuteness as the Worst Actor Ever continues unabated, I see, as does his annoyance with hair/make-up people. I totally understand, since I haaate people (of the non-boyfriend or mother variety) touching my face or head.

Otherwise, it’s a neat look into how he interacts with people. He obviously just handles himself well – whether in front of a packed press conference talkin’ up his sponsor, or chatting with crew or whatever. The real deal. After all, you couldn’t fake that 24/7. <333

Yeah, I agree. No way I could do the schmoozing he has to do at that sponsor thing – just being all casual and faking interest while people drool all over you. Awkward at best…creepy a lot.

The whole thing is pretty standard interview stuff. They ask him how he decided to become a tennis player, and he answered that it sort of came to him. When he was 13 he was already the best in Europe and one of the best in the world, so it was a natural choice to become a professional tennis player, instead of football player. Then they ask him if he ever broke a racket and he answers no. He says that is important not to do it to least self control.
The rest are short Q&As, like his favorite food: seafood; place to get lost: the Balearic Islands; a vice he can confess: football; and the strangest place where he has signed an autograph.
Some other bits that i could make out because the audio wasn’t really good and sometimes they spoke in spanish slang, was that he kept forgetting the lines, like in the part where they are shooting the car comercial and everybody is rushing to him and then he stops them raising his hands, he says: Stop, i forgot the line!
In the same part of the video, when they are shooting outside near the beach, Rafa says: don’t worry, take your time, is not cold here. Which is of course a joke because everybody is wearing heavy jackets and scarves and Rafa only a shirt.

Heee! I was wondering what had happened there. Thanks for the info.

Now what a treat THIS was! Rafa is gorgeous throughout.
Lots of things crack me up in this film: Papa Nadal and Costa stuffing their faces at the beginning of the film. The guy wearing the tennis racquet as a necklace. Rafa applying ‘lipgloss’.
    Just great!

He is soooooo adorable in this clip! I really love to see him laugh that much. And being a make-up artist myself, I envy the lady touching his face all the time…
