Rafa & Shakira
Two videos about Rafa saying hi to Shakira. First, one in Spanish posted by vamosrafelnadal.
And a second one from the ATP site.
Rafa/Gil match photos
Pretty ones from the pros. Oh, how I wish I had that 2.8 lens…

miri in Miami, day 3
Just a quick post because I need to check out of the hotel soon. I’ll get it started off with another set of preview pictures. I took over 20Gs worth of pictures yesterday, so it’s going to take awhile to sort them all out and post them on flickr, but I’ll put a link up once I start getting them posted.
I can’t say much about the tennis now – it’s all become a blur. The DelPo/Tipsy match was boring, but once I figured there was no way Rafa would start a practice that close to his match time
Post match interview
Rafa after his match with Gil in the 3rd round. It’s not like I know anything, but I thought he was playing better than Saturday night. Gil hits the kind of ball that gives Rafa problems on hard courts.
miri in Miami: days 1 & 2
Whew. Can I just say I’m not sure I’m cut out for this stuff? I’m sunburned (despite having gone through 2 tubes of sunscreen – I need to talk to Murray about what he uses) and tired of being hot and sweaty. Oh. Does it sound like I’m complaining? Well, I am, but I’m still having fun. Some sample pictures first so that you can see them quickly and then skip all my ramblings below. I don’t have good photo editing software on my laptop, so these aren’t cleaned up. The Rafa ones will take serious cleaning because I had
Miami 2nd round match photos
A few photos from Saturday’s match. (The amateur photographer in me is happy to see that even with their fancy lenses and cameras, the pros still have a lot of noise in these night match photos. Not anywhere near as much as mine, but still.)

Rafa through to the 3rd
With a score of 6-2 6-2. Rafa had a decisive victory over Teimuraz Gabashvili last night in the second round of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. It was a more entertaining match than I thought it would be. Gabashvili was hitting out and made quite a few nice shots – a few of which brought about massive pouty face from Rafa. I’d hope to write up more of a match report, but franlky, I’m exhausted
Leaving, on a jet plane
I’m off and headed to Miami. I’ve left Kalliopeia in charge, but be nice to her. She’s not used to this and her level of OCD is much lower than mine, so there probably won’t be a lot of updates.
If you are a first time commenter and it takes a while for your post to get approved, I apologize – it’s not that I don’t love you and want to be BFF, it’s just that I’m out and about.
I’ll try to update and post as I can, but the WordPress admin isn’t kind to my phone’s browser (and
