A visit to Iberia’s headquarters
According to Rafa’s official site, Rafa took a toodle around the headquarters of Iberia airline’s headquarters last December 3rd.
Site redesign [updated]
I was getting far too bored with the first site redesign and there were so many WordPress features I wanted to implement that the template didn’t support…so, here’s a new look. I decided to go more minimalist. I can’t decide if I like it or not. I’m not sure I like it just showing excerpts without html so that you have to click through on every article to see any videos or for any links to work, but I do
The season so far
vamosrafelnadal has posted an IB3 report in which Rafa reflects on his season so far.
Here’s Google’s attempt at a translation of the the Spanish subtitles.
Make semifinal or final change enough for me to start the season was good or very good.
With Verdasco, 5-4 in the 3rd. and 0-40 September, I held my serve, but had few options, got the very strong, the first 220 and 180 the second game was a lot of suffering, very long and very stressful.
The semifinal was very important as it supposed

Flashback Friday
Not much going on publicly in Rafaland lately. Rafa should be heading to Benidorm tomorrow to prepare for Davis Cup.
In the mean time, he’s a cute video of 12 year old Rafa playing some tennis, losing and giving an interview. It’s so funny to see the current adult in the child that was. At 12 he already looks bored with interviewer’s questions and has the eyebrow and “pfftth” answers down. I do think my favorite thing, however, is the super-cheesy background music.
Rafa watching soccer = news
A short news story about Rafa watching the Real Madrid game.

Rafa watches a soccer game
Shocking, no? But Rafa was there to watch today’s Real Madrid/Liverpool match in person. He probably wasn’t too happy with the score, though, since Real Madrid lost 0-1.

Rafa practicing in Manacor
luneworld has posted some video of Rafa practicing for Davis Cup in Manacor. He’s also interviewed for a bit.
Anyone got any idea what they are saying? I really should have studied Spanish instead of German…
Davis Cup site updated
The Davis Cup site has been updated with the team members and schedule for the first round Spain/Serbia tie. Sadly, no US TV coverage is listed. It looks like The Tennis Channel is only going to be carrying the US/Switzerland tie.
Lanvin photo supersized
Look what I tracked down? (Once you see the image in the shadowbox frame, right click on it to view separately – it’s much larger than it looks in the shadowbox, but if I turn it off for this post, it turns it off for all of them.)
