Here’s a few articles about today’s match:
So much for Rafael Nadal’s seemingly perfect start to his first season as the No. 1 player in the world.
“I didn’t play my best. I had a chance in the first set but he played well,” said Nadal. “He was very aggressive and he served very well.
“It is not easy in the beginning of the year. I will be in Doha for a few more days and will be training hard,” he added.
“There’s no damage to my confidence,” said Nadal.
“I knew before the match that the beginning of the season was not going to be easy because, although I have had more rest than other players, I have also had more time outside of competition than others.
“So it is a little bit more difficult to come back fast to my rhythm. I have had two matches here and five altogether, so I leave here with positive feelings when I go to Australia.”
“He played better than me, that’s what happened! I had my chances (to win points), but he was serving really well. Maybe I need more time on court. I played two matches in Abu Dhabi and three here, which is good, but I need more matches,” Nadal said.
